I've been seeing this a lot in DF, the starting with af1 garbage. I never say anything because meh, df and I just don't have the time/crayons to explain it. RF today in DF, DRK dancing circles around mobs in Aery. After 3 pulls of him doing the same shit, I finally tell him to stop moving (we have a monk). To which he promptly replies "Don't blame me for your lack of skills". Monk flips out on him saying he was dancing around like a prom queen, and we basically just tell him to tank properly and stop being a douche. Next pull single dragon mob, he actually runs around in circles just to be a cunt, so ofc we votekick him afterwards, no surprise his healer duoq leaves with him. fml.

i joined in prog for a DD, told the drk 3 times to put on grit and darkness, just ignored (maybe was a bot?) so i started to just not heal him and we kicked him.

then i get this gem

I swear they should have locked all of DRK's combo closers behind Darkside or something, the number of people that just don't use it is ridiculous.

You'd think locking defensive cooldowns and Dark Arts behind it would be enough, but nope.

I'd kind of be in favor of this. It cements the idea that running out of MP is a really bad thing more than just losing access to Dark Dance/Mind/Passenger.

Though an immediate problem would be that Power Slash is "learned" at 26 so, to be hypothetically fair (because there is the one DRK30 you have to complete before you can get Darkside? Or is that Grit that's quested?), if it wasn't locked to Darkside you would have dumbass DRKs spamming Power Slash (the only combo that seems to work without Darkside) and we'd be back where we started.

So, I queue up for aery on ast with a friend of mine.

Tank is relatively geared but first job going up to 60, shrug, w/e. Pretty much from the start he's a problem. He's not using cd's, he is not even bothering to pick up hate on mobs 2/3 beyond a cursory flash. Like you know how the first packs are a biast and a lightning elemental far away? He'd ranged the biast, flash on it (with nothing else around), and let the elemental ping away at whoever. On packs of 3 he'd do a single flash or overpower then just do his 123 without using cd's at all or bothering to re-pick up hate on anything once they inevitably went after me or my blm friend. I was just too lazy to say much since I was nuking and my friend was blowing shit up.

He tried deliverance for all of 10 seconds before realizing he had no chance to hold hate, then after 2nd boss he dies to a normal pack since, again, no cd's and I wasn't ready to heal 3 people across the fucking room. We get up to pack right before boss and friend dies cause again, he can't sustain any hate. Friend comes back, we wait at next pack, I'm waiting and waiting and tell guy to go ahead and pull then I get kicked LOL.

So I figure he must have really hated how I was healing, since on ast I use ED to maximum effect. I drop all nukes in cs, wait for guy to get low then ED/regen/aoe regen and go back to nuking. That can be pretty scary for some newer tanks but I don't actually let people die. My friend is still in dungeon though and I get these gems:

I had that kind of DRK too. I'm leveling WHM and I told him to put darkside up with grit. Then he replied : "too much MP". I just said "what?!" and left.
I never run out of mana on DRK, I mean it's literally impossible. Also, you don't only lose free dmg you're also losing dmg mitigation and hate control from not using darkside. So with grit only you actually take more dmg and have less hate control alongside with dealing significantly less dmg. In other words without Darkside, a DRK is completely useless.

Ive found that bitching in dungeons is usually way too much energy spent, so I gave it up awhile ago. If they want to be shit, I will let them be.

I suggest you try a AoE thread battle with a WAR, you'll count your mana by the bits XD, especialy if he get hate 1st as he will cancel any Blood Price.

37 minute Neverreap

The 2 DPS were together (they DCed at the same time momentarily) - BRD and NIN.
BRD didn't use that mage-brd move/song, didn't AOE
WAR had a massive 21000 HP but was incredibly hard to heal as WHM... felt like he was taking loads of damage
Kept pulling large packs.... and we were single targetting them down
I tried to AoE but ran out of MP... needed it for a prolong fight where I had to keep healing
Pulled pack to pack without regard for his own TP, party's TP (I had kept my MP reserved at his point)

Game must be declining haha...
