If it is just 3 targets(at level 60) I kind of get annoyed when a blm does AoE, but.. I find anything I could possibly say will just make the run go slower.

I just put my mind on auto pilot and before I know it the run is over.

3 even 4 targets is annoying for Blm. It is a good pack but you don't really gain any dps doing an AOE rotation and it is slow as fuck.

The single-target DPS at 60 is so potent that you need everyone in the party doing AOE to make it worthwhile and fast (yes that includes melees).

I've been playing around with a modified F4 rotation for mob packs that replaces the F1 cast with F2. It does help in those situations where going full AOE isn't worth it (like the 3-4 mob groups) since you still kill single mobs fast and soften up the rest.

If there are 4 or more mobs, you should be AoEing, period.

Just because none of your new toys are used for AoE does not change that.

I ran Snowcloak today for a Zodiac drop (for glamour) and had probably the worst SMN that I have ever come across. She said she was new so I gave her the benefit of the doubt, but when she summoned Titan I knew I was in for a special treat. I told her to get out Ifrit or Garuda but she refused until after the first group of mobs took FOREVER to kill. She gets out Garuda and we continue, but things are dying waaaaaaay slow. I chalk it up to low level gear etc etc, but then I start paying attention. She hasn't used Aetherflow in a while ... so I remind her to Bane her DoTs (maybe she forgot).



No response, so I ask her point blank.





Seriously, how do you get all the way to 50 and have no idea how Aetherflow and Bane/Fester/Energy Drain work?

Back in the day, when I ran into groups like this, I knew I´d get my nexus drop for sure! It seemed like the shittier the group was, the higher the chances of the item droppin. I think I Once did an AV run that took almost an hour, and for sure, item dropped after that, xD

Leylines. And Fire II is pretty potent. The problem is with Flare. Blame speedrunners/SE for that. Agreed though, it is slow.

Edit: Gonna correct myself. It'd be nice if fire II it were say 120 potency or so.
