Doing yet another Aery run to level up and hope for minion drop. We not doing big pulls mostly because the tank is my husband who rarely runs anything but its going fairly quickly with the dragoon being a FC mate and I am on SCH in cleric stance. The random pug is a blm.

From the start all the way to the final boss everything going very smooth and we having a good time when we wipe because the BLM didn't switch to the sable prince. Ok no problem perhaps he forgot or tunnel vision. We all run back and my DRG friend types "Blm, you have to switch to the sable". No response so I type "<Character Name> Do you understand the mechanic?". And the blm says "thanks for using my name, not BLM" and gets all bitchy about being called BLM but still doesn't manage to answer my question so I type "Do you understand the mechanic? Yes or No?" and he types "I can read..." so I just vote to kick and we wait 20 seconds for another damage dealer to join and we murder the dragon and go home.

I bet that BLM was pissed but I don't even care. You can type a bitchy response but not answer a yes or no question? Go away.

Alex Normal 4, wiped a couple times because people are dumb. NIN complains about broken accessories and despite being crappy at avoiding stuff seems to think he'll be OK because he has 13k HP. I mention that stuff generally hits for 4k, so having 13k HP isn't a big deal.



No prizes for guessing when he died. Was super satisfying and he shut up after that.

^Man, that reminds me of the PF Leviathan uncap I did today. Our SMN at ~700-800dps was doing roughly 500 more than the entire rest of the party (minus my AST). It was depressing.

Freya (the SMN) got in the gobwalker cause no one else did (not like it matters at our gear level) and joined the healer in the whinefest. The DRG and the MCH in the party were doing 400-500 dps less than me and yet I should have gone inside the Gobwalker, pffft. I imagine the others queued in with the SMN as well cause the defense train was in full effect.

I didn't try very hard to make him understand that it's all about positioning and knowing; though he is new to tanking. But no problems there, he done his homework on it.
