I think he's talking about Naruto's Sakura
Atomos CT with DF
Might be my fail here, but is it really common practice to have both tanks on adds?
Either way, i said i would be on atamos and no one spoke up so w/e.
edit: SORRY ROCL
war tank can still dps, every run I've done up until this has been 1 tank on adds 3 ppl on atomos rest on pad

No, most of the runs I do have one tank DPS Atomos and another fish adds back away from the maw. I have had two people take adds but typically that happens with low DPS and the adds living for more than .5 seconds so you get 2 up at once and it actually poses a problem.
That said it's an easy as fuck fight, 4 people on platform should be the ones to DPS adds, someone should be making sure the adds are in range, and the rest of you dumbasses fight the maw. Also people on the pads targeted with Void Fire and dodge off the pad need to fuck off. The add tank could/should stun/silence it or worst case scenario oh no you take 2k damage once every four minutes. Not like healers are doing shit else that fight (aside from obvious clerix shenanigans)
also it's spelled Atomos
The most ideal thing would be 1 tank, 2 healer, 1 good ranged DPS (BLM is ideal) on pad, everyone else on Atomos. But if you have like 2 SMN 2 SCH on pad adds takes forever to die sometimes.
Also yeah PLDs who don't stunlock the succubi need to die in a fire.
OK, I should probably clarify. If you're going in with an FC party or miraculously find yourself in a random party with intelligent, decently-geared people, it is not normal nor desirable to have both tanks on adds. If you're in there with the typical mix of prissy tanks, slow DPS, and ignorant healers, you'll want (and probably need) both tanks on the adds.
Both tanks on adds is more desired if you want to be safe, especially in DF groups. But to me, the most ideal is two range plus a healer on adds. That should be enough for one tank on adds and the other on boss for more DPS. Adds should go down fast enough that one healer is more than enough. Of course this is assuming everyone know what's up, but...
I had a good random fail regarding CT last night after my coil runs.
I don't ever check people. I figure they're in CT for a reason. We get to Atomos without any issues, then my group wipes to it. I've NEVER been in a PT that wiped to Atomos because the fight is just stupid easy. We had so many adds build up cuz our dps was so horrible. I was on WHM, so it wasn't me. We get back and I'm trying to figure out wtf happened, the BRD that was with us was rockin a lvl1 white event kabuto with some lvl 30 shit. I ask him, "yo, are you really rockin that kabuto fulltime?" To which he replied "Yeah sadly I forgot my red one ):".
Made me lol and I usually don't care about trolls in CT so long as we win, but the fact that he later lotted the brd body tells me he may have been serious lol.
I had a run wipe on Atomos once when we were 3 melees + ranged. None of the healers DD'ed the adds and neither did the melees. So it was entirely down to my gimp i68 BLM to down them quick enough. Needless to say, I could not.
I think this goes here ...
Doing a CT on my iLVL 80 PLD and get to KB without issue. Nobody wants to MT so I offer, ready check and go, pull KB to the west wall like I have done 20-25 times before. SCH tosses me a few heals but thinks the WHM has me covered, WHM just flat out ignores me. After a wipe and reset this happens:
Basically pitched a fit and said if I pull it west they will sit outside and not heal me. Never seen someone act like that, even in CT
I have never seen KB tanked West, ever, and I don't really know why you would.
The argument for it is that no giants spawn there. Which is kind of dumb because that's why it's a good spot for at least 1 comet.
I've seen it done before, makes it a lot easier for the Iron Giant tank to just tank them where they spawn. Instead of them dragging it across the group getting people cleaved or losing aggro while taking it to another location.
I do Giants every CT on PLD; KB is fine tanked to the N. I queue up Savage Blade on KB, immediately tag Giant with it on spawn and Spirits, pop a couple of cooldowns while running east, Halone once he reaches on east side. If you have some absurd DPS, you can Savage and Halone on spawn, but I find that he'll sometimes get a cleave off if you want that long to move it.
Also, this is one of those things where 99.9% of CT parties tank to the N, CT randoms are incredibly intractable to change, and thus an alliance freak out would occur if KB was tanked anywhere else. I mean I still have issues getting my parties to agree to leaving 1 tank on the main Atomos platform so another DPS can go to Atomos' and not be worthless. Even if it's a range, there is no reason whatsoever to have an extra DPS on the main platform.
