Joined a garuda farm party trying to get a ring for my BRD. It was set to i80, but the guy who made the party, a SCH, was wearing strategos and shit, which should have been the first red flag. He started having MP problems and told me to ballad, which I did. Afterwards, I asked why he was even having MP problems and he started telling me that I was a bad BRD, play my job right, blahblahblah. So we try again, he still has MP problems, and his tank dies. So I leave and call him terrible, obviously. His friend then tells me this.

The SCH himself then tells me that he clears coil T5 every week and that I'll get better sooner or later.

I find it quite funny when someone hurries up and posts something which is not true. Maybe you should have reconsidered it a bit. You are free to post whatever you want, though. Let me explain myself:

The scholar you are talking about is me. Well, my mule, actually.
Did I lie about clearing T5 every week? No. Why am I saying you hurried up too much at posting this?
Well, as I said, that was my ungeared mule. My main character is i90 SCH (only allagan book dropping has been summoner so far, so no i91 yet...). I have healed everything there is in game so far (as of 2.1), with no problems. T5 included, yes. I must say, though, I usually get bards who do not cry about using Mage's Ballad if it is needed.

I do not play bard, I love healing. But I know bards are not just archers, you have a very handy ability called Mage's Ballad. If you didn't unlock it yet, then I am sorry. But you should have all your abilities unlocked when doing extreme primals (or anything else at level 50, really).
My mule had lower MP, obviously. Also, I was raising people and therefore getting lower and lower on MP. But that's not the point. The point is that you, as a bard, should be able to realize when you should be using your skills, mage's ballad included.
Something funny is tank didn't die for lack of heals, but as I told you, you need to improve a bit to see such things. Do not worry, sooner or later you will be able to notice many more things. Hint: Tank used cover on MNK, MNK and Tank were Wicked Wheeledx2. MNK didn't get hit: what happened?
That's an easy one, you probably can discover it by yourself.

PS2: Why a mule? After clearing everything on monday, it basically gets locked. I like being able to do such content with other friends.

Tanks covering melee in Garuda = bad and the tanks should feel bad. MT has enough to deal with without needlessly taking damage and messing with healers. OT shouldn't be covering for stupid melee since a dead OT is more disastrous than a dead melee. Plus making a healer have to worry about the OT is stupid anyways. Can OT without heals aside from the usual post AoE medicas if your party is up to scratch.

SCH overtaxing themselves due to raising? Fine, but that's a bad (dead) DPS issue. I assume actual career SCH can chime in about whether raising people actually taxes them.

I do not have any real end game experience, but I can tell you if you see that your MP is not being controlled properly, as a SCH or WHM, then you should not be raising people over and over. How many times are you going to raise people? Brink of Death makes anyone pretty much useless and they are dragging the party down more by you raising and curing them than what they would be able to do alive.

Forgot to take ss of rest of the chat before swapping to mule but this was great. BLM that "cleared" turn 4 with out doing aoe's, if his gear was a lot better maybe, or other blm carried him hard I can understand but god damn was this guy horrible gear/skill wise. I planned on not playing my main class on my alt but coil gear kept dropping for the class my main is so they gave it to me because I knew the class. Eventually I ended up gearing my alt better then my main.

Also checked out that guys main. I am impressed, he clears t5 every week yet neither him or his friends / ls members use any t5 drops. That is pretty leet.
