It gets a lightning or ice buff that makes the corresponding head have instant casting left/right (the side of the head) breath, and probably faster on the corresponding Voice.

Confirmed after actually watching in today's roulette:

-Static Charge gives lightning buff; makes Dragon's Voice cast faster, Cacophony ball bigger+more damaging probably, and makes Dragon's Breath (para) instant cast.
-Gelid Charge gives ice buff; makes Ram's Voice do the ice sheet extra DoT (can keep standing in it after Esuna'd and you won't take more damage), Ram's Keeper (floor ice ball) cast faster, and Ram's Breath (heavy) instant cast.

Same. My first Hydra clear was with me solo tanking it in pld af and lv48 crafted accessories. At that point we didnt know it split though. It wasnt a one shot clear, but we beat it many times like that.

Its crazy how theres 13 parties recruiting on ragnarok, and not only that, you find HQ lvl70 dungeon gear on the market board. I am on zodiark, usually there are no parteis recruiting, maybe 1 but 2 tops. And good HQ stuff on the market board? Forget it.

So today I go for the HL DR, and end up in a Wander Palace as WAR with a BLM and a DRG both iLv85+ plus a SCH iLv90+ (full iLv90 AF, myths & Coil 1 Gears) so I though "Right, I can do a SR and pull the whole half of the zone. I go up to the scarabs & also pull the 2 birds and the tomberry right after them and things goes incredibly well, only down side was the BLM having Zenith Relic and not knowing her rotation at all, but I did not bother with that.

After that I decided to pull the 3 next packs of mobs + the tomberry so 10 mobs total, and I died after 5 mobs were down so willing to be polite, I appologise & say that I will pull less. (As I know Tank is highly in demand I really try my best to be nice to ppl and give them a good time with me.) But the SCH decide to be a little bitch about it cos WP is a serious buisness.

I use overpower & flash alot back to back to generate aggro (as you can see above..) but I decide to suck his comment up and keep going, we reraise and so 5 mobs are left alive (counting no tomberries only leeches & pugil), which I pull and funnily... I die again....

Then he told me that he could give me one with this SCH job ability, but my question now is... Why should I need that for 6 mobs (2 pack) without tomberry? for 6 trash in WP.. really?

The BLM was really really bad.. the kind of BLM getting out of MP after flare and standing up to wait and have enough MP back to use Blizzard 1, no joke... I did not see her use transpose once, so asking her to sleep 6 mobs? nah..

Your main problem was that you talked to the bads. Never engage the bads, you must treat them as if they are just NPCs with faulty AI. If your bad NPCs let you die twice, don't bother addressing them, just leave the dungeon and wait to be assigned new NPC and hope they have better AI.

Of all dps I get in roulette dungeon BLMs are by far the worst. I once had a BLM who was spamming t3 fire, thunder and blizzard. He even had some kind of system, was only using specific spells on specific monsters. I was just speechless. Or another one who's been spamming either t3 Fire or Flare. Then couple of Blizzard 3 to get mp back, then Flare again.

By shield I'm assuming he was referring to Adlo, not that it would have saved your ass anyways given SCH only has 50 other tools at their disposal to keep the tank alive.


I started running WAR/PLD (depending on how I feel) on high-lvl roulettes this week, so I expect to see myself in this thread at some point in time for not knowing the SR pulls perfectly.

This just happened during Titan HM. The war was totally reckless: attacked bombs, never dodged things and I'm pretty sure he jumped a few times on purpose. It went so badly that we got to a 50% echo...
