Pretty bad case of loot-whoring when you're sporting i80 gear; shit like this makes me cringe. He played decent enough though I guess considering the other healer got landslided off after heart and he solo healed the rest even though it's piss easy to solo heal on SCH.

That's the main thing really. If his group has been winning 9 for awhile and got cursed with only SCH books, you'd think said person would also be "hardcore" enough to at least have all his 50s in i90+ since he was hardcore enough to have beaten T9 relatively early on. Shit just makes me depressed that my group can only go 2 days/week

Honestly, criticizing the gear because he has the book seems ridiculous. You don't need to play hardcore to have cleared turn 9 by now. The fucked up truth about RNG is that you can get the weapon for the class everyone has AF geared and gaining a HA isn't necessarily motivation to endure enrage PTs or spend hours farming turn 4 when you can purchase soldiery items later on. If he plans to eventually obtain HA healer loot or spend soldiery, he's making the practical choice.

My 50 gladiator has the h.allagan waist and neck. :3 Our group 1 got 2x mnk fists so far, so there's a gimp ass mnk with h.allagan fists out there somewhere. And back when t5 was the top content, our group got sch book for the first 3 kills in a row. The first two (or maybe even all three?) our sch main wasn't even there so some scrubs like the ilvl73 temp replacement sch got them.

Agreed. In fact all it takes for this scenario is 2 SCH book drops and a group where nobody besides the main scholar really plays the class. Not out of the ordinary here.

It almost makes more sense to me that someone who raids T9 wouldn't have all classes to 50/i90. There are only so many hours in the day. And if you like raiding, doesn't necessarily mean you like grinding FATEs/low level dungeons.

Heh, I log on sporadically lately and mainly for raids. MNK is my only class to 50 (not including DoH or DoL) and it's in iLVL105, and we're working on T9. Just kinda agreeing with everyone lately and bragging at the same time. I will say that my WHM is coming up to 50 soon and I'll have two High Allagan piece and a whole buncha shit to go along with it. >.>;

Just got into my daily expert roulette on Bard. Amdapor City; PLD MNK BRD SCH. The Monk and I absolutely MELT the first two mushrooms, so I assume we'll speed things up? Nope. Every pull as small as possible. Every pull with a roaming gremlin pulled back a bit so he couldn't aggro. After pull #2, I got tired of it so I'd run ahead and grab the gremlin to add to the pull. On Gremlin #2, I knew the tank was pissed because he made me tank the Gremlin. After I pull Gremlin #3 even though I pulled it simply by aggro and didn't start shooting it (so crybaby tank could get aggro easily), I get vote kicked. Wow.
