Haukke Manor in low level roulette; WHM(clearly 50), BLM, ACN, and myself on WAR. It's low level roulette, so my standards are pretty low and I'll silently deal with a lot of shit.

Takes the group 15 minutes to go from dungeon start to having the 1st boss dead, no wipes, so holy shit things are going at a crawl. I start watching what everyone else is doing. WHM is doing nothing but cures. Not spamming or anything, just a lot of standing around with his thumb up his ass. Once I noticed this in the boss, I took off Defiance, because someone here may as well be doing more damage. He's 50, he should know better. BLM is spams Fire2 on groups at first, but as soon as his MP is gone once, he goes back to his single target rotation; his single target rotation is nothing but spam Bliz1. ACN puts Bio2 and Miasma on one target, even if there's a group, then spams ruin until he happens to notice that all his DoTs are gone. No Bio at all. Ughhhhhhhh.

Me: Anybody here want tips on how to play their job better, because this damage is sloooooooooow

At that level all blm can do is spam bliz till transpose is up, if the group is 3+ mobs then fire ii is good. The white mage is a waste. You should have helped the Arcanist.

It's been said it's less of a DPS loss to just Fire out of max mp UI rather than wait an extra 3-4 GCDs for Transpose. Not that I'd expect low levels to know that, but meh.

That would be great if he actually ever cast fire, or ever used transpose, but alas, he did not. He opened with 3 or 4 or however many Fire2s, and then despite still having 3+ mobs up, Bliz1 all the wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

I considered helping the ACN, but I was in sourpuss mode at that point and "best I can", rather than "best I know how to" or something was enough to make me not care. I'm sure it didn't help that he periodically spouted off RP stuff.

My next low level roulette landed me in a Qarn with a SMN who wasn't using Bane because he was "busy getting text messages". Joy. I powered through that one because the BLM was competent.

Haukke can definitely be done in big packs of mobs too, I got lucky once with a BLM who wasn't retarded and wanted advice on how to improve, and a great BRD and WHM. We annihilated the place in like 9 pulls total in 17 minutes or so.

That place is heaven for a BLM, and Quick Nock spam to go with buffed Overpower was pretty cool too.

And i'd probably drop out of Defiance for all bosses anyway, only putting it up when you have to deal with a couple adds at once (Amandine, in this case).
