j/k guys it's not him, there's some pretty stupid people on Sarg. That Mahkan kid is one of 'em he's in my FC's hunt LS for some reason (probably because the sackholders spam invites)

Shit is definitely a combo, I seen Rata's other screenshots and how he posts on here at times. I saw combo because I know people are fucking retarded about hunts right now. I witnessed an endless /sh convo in Western Than of everything calling each other cunts and faggots over the golem

Kids these days...I'll never understand all the drama around the hunts. I mean maybe I just got too damaged by XI, since you lost a (potential) shitton of valuable gear, if you lost a claim on an HNM. Gear that was BiS for really long time, that was not 100% drop AND you had to wait several days till next pop. This just seems so unimportant.

The anger about hunts is that a lot of players feel entitled to participate in the content, which to them translates to every one that gets popped. Obviously seasoned HNM scene FFXI players are more or less immune to this and formed a callous long ago.

Honestly, after seeing the amount of anger over what I feel is actually a pretty decent system... I would love to see open world PvP thrown into the mix just for the chaos.

Most big FCs who actively hunt are already getting massive amounts of hate on most servers that I have seen (usually when their only crime is actively searching in large numbers with coordination) even if they are not pulling early or acting like idiots. People just want someone to blame, so they blame those they see at every pop early as the easy target. At least with open world PvP they could have an actual reason to blame griefers, lol.

I agree 100% about HNMs prepping us lol. I don't actively hunt because most of the playerbase is a huge tool and I feel stupider just by standing next to them. Entitlement nailed it on the goddamn head

I'm angry about it but I don't think I'm "entitled" nor do I care to fight every one of them.

I just want to do my bills. That's all. I can't do that because otherwise I have to buy into the system that has evolved to monopolize the content.

I would be far, far better served if the hunts were done in the same style as Treasure Maps.

To be fair to rata, I have people who have followed me zone to zone shouting shit angrily at me because I've kicked them from hunt LS. This stuff is just hilarious and brings out the best in people.

The problem most people have with me is because I am almost there for every hunt and in the first group

But i got a good LS where we have 1-2 people per zone scanning

The Hunt content isn't really fun either. Split up, run around on chocobo, look for Dark Ixion/Sandworm, find it, call your group, and then the horde shows up. You don't even know what mechanics these mobs might have because you have 200 people wailing on them at the same time. It's almost like that end of 1.0 Atmos content. Just zerg and don't think. Boring.
