Thanks. Still grinding out the DPS check. Leaving it alone for a couple hours led to me getting 310T on my return trip, which I used to grab an Abadon and a couple levels of Ice wizard. What I could go for is seeing DPS difference on units when you use the +10/+100 level-buy modifier.

This shit is fucking terrible when you don't get primals. I ascended this morning and I'm already back past where I was, on 175 now...

I've gotten 1 primal, and it was worth 3 souls.

I'm fucking past where I was when I got 25 on my last ascension and if I ascended right now I'd get 9. If I cashed in everything I MIGHT get it to 11.

I'm torn on that. Makes for good end-game. Considering I'm about to do my first ascend, I'd rather have a good early-game :/

thing is, things like treebeast/ivan/brittany scale the entire game. every 25 levels after 200, their damage gets doubled/quadrupled, and at 1000 it gets dectupled. combine that with gilds, and you have remarkably efficient heroes, far more efficient than frostleaf until I would imagine weeks/months into the game. disclaimer: all heroes get the post-200 bonuses, but good luck getting anything passed fisherman to 1000 any time soon (fisherman himself is bad, another reason treebeast, ivan, and brittany are ideal is because they get 450% damage boost from upgrades, which stacks multiplicatively with the post-200 bonuses).

Frostleaf is great right up until you can afford to get treatbeast to 1050 or so, then it quickly becomes entirely irrelevant.

It's actually 2000%, since the upgrades also stack multiplicatively (as does literally everything).

Is there a trick to abusing which hero gets guilded? I got Abaddon as my first, and when playing around with the Import function to get it another, it landed on useless Betty when I opened the thing a floor later. I just don't know if opening one later sets back the next time you get an offer to gild a hero also.

Just bought my first Frostleaf after a nigh of sleeping on gold buildin', so I'm happy for now while at floor 119. Another day of them and I should have 5 hero souls to do my first ascension with. I just hope it goes back up stupid quick a la Cookie clicker with HCs.

No, the rng seed is saved to your save file, so you'll always get the same one if you save+reload. It's generated after you get your first one, iirc.

frostleaf 250 gilded 1x



Ivan and Britt have remained the best return on investment, if not always the fastest, pretty much all the time. Every now and then something else pops up but rarely lasts more than 25 before going back to Ivan and Britt for a while.

I think I'm just now starting to get where they're going to get surpassed, though.

Forest Seer, Amenhotep, Beastlord, Shinatobe, and Frostleaf gilded.

0 Souls atm, but I have enough for 7 if I reset, could probably get 8 easy.
Time to assend?

keep ascending at like 10 per (maybe more if you get lucky with primals), don't even wait til you hit a wall, just wait til it looks like it's going to be a while for more souls, until you get 75

This. Dark ritual every 30 minutes is really OP. Next update though is going to remove cooldown reduction from souls, and add it to new thing called ancients, which will cost at least 120 souls at least to get back to 75% cooldown (and you'll lose the damage bonus from those souls), which will suck big time for people who can't afford it.

I hate updates that fuck over newer players. The grind FL110+ is already bad enough as it is.

Nearing Floor 140, which I'll be doing ascension #2 on after I clear it for the +5% DPS achievement & another gilded. Should have 15 souls total afterwards. I keep getting screwed on gildeds being the upper-tier characters when I could use a couple lower-levels to make the 50-80 section quicker.

Tempted to say fuck it to clearing floor 140 and ascension now. I need a full round of buffs + autoclicker + 10-15 more levels on Frost to possibly clear it.

At how many souls does the first 100 floors become super quick? My first with 5 souls was much faster than the first trip (1 day vs. 3), but still felt slow.

I hate updates that fuck over newer players. The grind FL110+ is already bad enough as it is.

Yeah, it's pretty bad if you don't have lot of souls (like 200 at least). There's a beta at http://www.clickerheroes.com/test993 . It's a huge buff for late game, but a nerf for early-ish game. I mean, it's probably still only a week, maybe two if you mostly idle to get to the point where it's a pretty big buff, but still..

edit: oh god i refreshed and they dropped the ancient that increased gilded damage bonus from 10% per level per gild to 2%, and now i can't kill anything. Lost more than a third of my dps
