You've probably figured this out by now but several of us in my Free Company did the same thing at the same point and that was to miss the next quest after your last CS being an emissary. So, my character is from Limsa and Ul'Dah was the last place I had to go to meet with Raubahn. Perhaps down to where I was standing or how laggy it was in the beginning, I completely missed the fact there's another guy standing there with the story line icon above his head after my cs. I returned to Limsa and had nothing in my log. So we were completely confused until we retraced our steps.
