It needs to last long enough for the Tea Party to realize this road is one to ruination. Accept the ACA already and start making suggestions to fine tune the law rather than trying to simply repeal and fuck any solutions.

I'd much rather have them blow their load on a gov't shutdown than attempt to cockblock the debt limit increase.

That's going to run longer than the debt deadline.

After seeing the attempt at a break today, I'm pretty sure the debt is going to make enough GOP moderates blink before a default on the debt.
