I had an old wireless Logitech keyboard that basically saw me through a decade of gaming, but a few months back an unfortunate suicide by a pepsi bottle jumping from a level of my desk led to its demise despite my best attempts to save it. Since then, I bought some $20 HP thing from Wal-Mart to hold me over, but I find myself growing increasingly frustrated by its tendency to miss keystrokes (tried placing the receiver in a number of places, including right next to it via a USB hub) and the key placement of a few buttons. So, here I am wondering if someone has some good experiences with something out on the market right now.
Ideally, I just need the keyboard, but if there's a good deal on a mouse/kb combo, I might splurge and just keep the mouse on standby in case my Razer dies. I'd rather not pay more than $60, either. I don't really need programmable keys or other extraneous fluff, just something that works 100% and doesn't feel fragile or too light when in my lap. None of that curved ergonomic shit, either. Bonus points if it'd run on AA instead of AAA, since I have a slew of rechargeable AAs I use with my console controllers and other miscellaneous gizmos.
