Just did this and I'm of similar opinion. There were 2 main things I didn't like: 1) Alfred started off annoying as hell with an explosive temper, but his character stopped that bullshit after the 1st episode so I can forgive it, and 2) I thought the whole Fish thing was stupid as hell. Not sure if I still need to spoiler shit, but I will just in case

Everything with Fish was fine until she was on the island with the Doll Maker, and after that it was ridiculous. You're going to tell me that they're going to negotiate with their spare parts in the basement? Get the fuck out of here with that. There is no way she died falling off the roof, either, so we can look forward to more of her in the future, sigh

Yeah Fish is my least favorite character. I'd like for her to be gone but she's pretty much the biggest name in the show so lol.

Jada Smith is a film actor. Film actors are expensive. Fish was always a one season deal.
IF she comes back, it will only ever be for a few episodes at a time, and if they do that every season it'd be ridiculous, so if it does happen, expect it to be if the show has written itself into a corner a few seasons down the line.

So enough of that shit.
I'm glad they didn't push the character at the start of the season, and instead took most of the time to find and cast the right actor for the Joker. Because holy shit that kid is getting the job done.

So my complaint about last season was that the show was OK but never actually got to good. Finally it got there for me. If we get more of this and never see Fish again I'll be very happy

I've been watching season 1 on streaming. All in all not horrible but there are definite issues.

It amazes me just how overwhelming stupid pretty much every character is. Fish Mooney is awful. I mean, I know it's a show and all, but how many times are cops going to believe her over everyone else? I mean seriously, she's a fucking mob boss yet her word is treated like the pope. I don't mind Alfred being surly and angry. It makes sense given the circumstances he's put in.
