Paul Reubens is coming (back) to Gotham City. The Pee-wee Herman actor will appear in Season 2 of FOX’s Batman prequel Gotham as Penguin’s father — the same role he played 23 years earlier in Tim Burton’s Batman Returns.

I'm still watching season 1 and it stuns me just how fucking dumb everyone is. The only person that hasn't done anything wtf derp worthy imo is Gordon. Penguin kills it though.

Penguin, Gordon and Alfred are top tier. No one warned me Morena Baccarin was in this. Hottest chick ever.

Ok I'm still watching the first season. Here's the conclusions I've come to.

1. Alfred is a bad ass.
2. Fish Mooney is fucking awful. Just awful. And this whole stuck in a prison after the boat is jacked is just fucking retarded. I get that she's considered a star, but the character is awful. Jada Pinkett Smith looks like a dried out leather bag with two tone hair. But for some reason people in the show are finding her attractive. Ok.
3. Falcone and Maroni are both ridiculous. You're these huge fucking mob bosses controlling the city and you both get played by the little dude with the limp.
4. Barbara needs to fucking die already. Whine because you're not involved. Get involved, freak out, vanish, fuck a chick, regret it, then try to come back and hope Gordon sticks around? With Morena Baccarin in the picture? C'mon son.
5. The Thompkins/Gordon romance seems a little forced but the two have genuine chemistry. Which is apparently why she's having dude's baby irl.
6. Penguin kills it.
7. Penguin's mother is fucking terrible. I cringe in every scene she shows up.
8. Gordon is a bad ass.
9. The Mayor is a great character to hate.
10. I could give a shit about Bruce and Selina. Seriously. They both can't act for shit. Let's bring Carl on and see who is worse.
11. The overall dialogue, excluding the Penguin, is fucking horrendous. Add on top of that, most of villains of the week and supporting cast being horrible actors makes some episodes painful to watch.

I'm hoping season 2 improves.

I feel like part of the casting issue is that, in a way, attempting to modernize some of these villains hasn't come out well. On the other hand, I never look to hero shows for good writing.

Fish better be perma dead. Her entire late season story arc was atrocious. Dollmaker could have been introduced in a number of different ways. Any of them less retarded than that. Selina killing a dude and then becoming a henchman of Fish was, again, atrocious. Just awful. Barbara going insane after the ordeal with Ogre is actually somewhat believable. Too bad the bitch can't act to save her life.

Alfred is still a bad ass. Gordon is also still a bad ass, just because he went into full idgaf mode down towards the end. Penguin continues to kill it. Riddler finally snapping and killing dude was awesome.
