Last night got titan to 12%, then one fucking healer jumps off the side, says you noobs will never fucking win hahahahaha and exits, everyone in the group loses concentration and we wipe, 12% and a fucking level 3 limit available. Pretty bummed.
Dat super FF community.
Well this is good news, if anything. I had the feeling that a lot of the old-head BGers around here have been feeling despondent that there's no real HNM drama in this game; nothing to exploit; no ways to both fuck over the other guy and feel super hardcore pro about themselves. It looks like we now have our first instance of that classic, "good ol' BG that many of the old-heads whine about missing as they slick over their receding hairlines and rub their mottled double chins.
This is clearly good for business.
This shit reminds me of this

Hahaha this is fucking hilarious. Is this on the OF? Given the fallout to the self-reported Twintania glitch and the obscene number of people who are retarded and will need 3 more years to beat Titan, I expect some /popcorn.

Yeah, the whole "it was just a joke. Seriously guys! We didn't mean it!" on Reddit just reeks incredibly of the backpeddling of someone who got caught.
Can this be the official start of XIV Drama???
Lol. We are price fixing but we're not sabotaging runs. Would be a colossal waste of time. We were selling for 150k for the longest time because people were poor and started raising our prices yesterday because of philo items making people have more Gil. The reddit hive mind is hilarious.
I'm not even the one who made that comment.![]()
I believe you. Its not like you were ultra hardcore in XI and belong to a reasonably-strong FC in ARR and have thoughts regarding the easily-exploitable unwashed masses.
Let me restate that I have no problems charging for Titan runs, or any run: if my FC becomes strong enough to act as a Merc group, I fully intend to do that, whether for PVP or PVE content, but taking a dive in pub runs to artificially draw the economy into your "business"... that sounds right up there with all the MPK drama of XI in terms of "douchebaggery that only those who engage in it will understand/support".
Too bad there's no open PVP content in this game; I'd like to see FCs like that get into the protect racket schemes. "Your FC housing won't be burned up in a horrible fire or deleted by a nasty virus if you slip a few million gil in our accounts every month or so."
The endgame community is super fractured right now and doesn't really exist, but if this sabotaging runs actually becomes a widespread thing, I highly recommend creating a new thread about it, posting player names and their FCs along with a screenshot that proves it so that everyone else knows who to avoid down the road. That being said, jumping off and commenting in party chat to sabotage a run seems like a full retard move. I would think that, if this was really a thing, most people sabotaging runs would be more inconspicuous about it, just blaming /airquotes lag or whatever, and that's the kind of shit that's just completely unacceptable in a MMO community, and the kind of thing that ultimately drives games into the ground.
Edit: Just to note, I'm not OK with people posting player names or FCs unless there is some kind of screenshot evidence or some other way to prove that it actually happened, since that would turn into a shit show in a heartbeat if it was just posting names.
This is BG, home of the unfounded and land of the drama.
What I'm trying to say is you're a pussy.
lol... I agree that the drama would be fantastic but it would just be a repeat of what apparently already happened on Reddit.
I don't even care, I just kind of find it funny that the first ~drama bomb~ happened from a joke in a private LS that got out because someone forgot to cover their chat on a stream.
