As someone who should have been banned from XI for probably 337 different reasons and never was, I also happened to know a ton of people who had no business being banned. I also happened to know a ton of people who were banned for dumb shit like afk skilling up (Where the punishment was undue). There was a reason I kept most of my gil in items that didn't lose value, or spent it and that's because SE wrote the same one line sql query and banned people in XI. They did the same shit with the gay pot farming, they did the same shit with NNI and Salvage (and for fucks sake you can still Salvage dupe) and they did the same thing for speedhacking and they continue to do the same shit to this day.
you don't even know what the fuck you're talking about. spend less time fucking your camels and more time not breathing.2)you cheated the game(hi tav subligar glich/dupe glich)
I dont know what im talking about? im from valefor bitch that server should of just been banned lol.
but you don't know that "should of" is really "should've"
This morning my fiancee got an email saying her account was terminated for rmt activity. She only plays 4-5h per week. Last Wednesday she text'd me asking if she should be worried if her character was in a different place than she logged out. None of her stuff was gone and she only had a couple thousand gil which was still there. I guess her account was used to transfer large sums of gil somewhere? Seems odd but either way she was terminated and has to call SE now. Totally shitty!
What exactly did this query target? I was sitting at around 50-60million gil or something retarded back in FFXI as I can't remember the exact number and never got hit with a ban. I also did tons of stupid shit that should have gotten be banned a ton of times.
The phone app for the account key is free, get it. I don't know why people don't use it really. After having my account compromised on WoW once, i've never not used a token on any game that offers it.This morning my fiancee got an email saying her account was terminated for rmt activity. How do you know? Did they promise you?I also happened to know a ton of people who had no business being banned
^Shit dude, now I'm all paranoid. Does she make use of security token?
Salvage bans. All I have to say.
In the static I was in, people randomly got perma'd or temp'd with no real regard to how much loot they "earned" (I got a couple and got temp'd, some got nothing and got perma'd).
I dunno if it was made up but I also remember reading a story about a guy who joined a salvage run as a random extra, had a language barrier to contend with and had little idea of what was going on. It was the only dupe run that he did (supposedly). He got perma'd.
So this is pretty par for the course for a SE reaction.
I know what SE is doing. They just wanna make me feel good about being poor.
I warned my FC about SE sweeping bans a couple weeks a go when RMT started to monopolize Philosophy crafting ingredients, of course no one believed me. So one guy I knew got temp'd for shouting to buy said ingredients haha.
She activated security token after that yeah. She hardly plays so not much to lose but it sucks. Does SE check IP logs so she can try that argument on the phone?
40-50m ain't and never was shit in XI lol.
I'm talking multiple characters with capped gil. Hell I had that in 2005 just from fishbotting.
They used to have that, for some odd reason they removed that IP check.
Really? Seems odd they'd remove it. Could help with some of the BS going on like what happened to Grey's fiance.
I know in P4 when I logged on my laptop they suspended my account until I changed password or something. It was a fresh install on the laptop don't know if it was b/c of IP difference or fresh install, didn't pay too much attention.
Oh right. I had to do the same thing when I logged into the game from South Dakota.
What I meant is a system like GW2's where if you sign into the game from an unregistered IP on your account you'll be sent an email with a link in order to verify it. Once you verify that IP for the account you're good to go.
Yes, even Perfect World games have this system
