It worries me that they might remove Holy's stun effect because of these speed runs. Can you do the same with a scholar, or do people take too much damage?
So this turned out to be exactly what I thought it'd be. Glad to know my instincts were right on the money.
I'm surprised it got narrowed down to 10 minutes though.
Done in 9!
and here I was thinking 12 was pushing it, the pulls they do in the vid are a bit longer than mine because I have trust issues with my healers >.>; not much else different, bosses die about as fast lol.
I think I need more practice with SCH and/or fairy, it can be done on SCH but not as fast. Doing fully buffed regens gets fairy killed, but it also takes heat off tank. Just getting fairy back in that situation can be iffy and if it doesn't die then Swiftspell Shadowflare can do some good as well. Keeping tank alive wasn't difficult at all with some practice, it only got hard when other DPS start taking damage.
Thank you, Kiarax.
I'm hoping the make hard modes for all dungeons and drop tombs. They created so many great dungeons you only run once, its a shame
I'm looking forward to getting back into Haukke Manor. That boss fight is surprisingly tough if people are stupid.
The bosses primary attack is magic, you can walk through them and back peddle back and they wont be able to get anything off. Line of sight is a terrible mechanic.
You can do WP speed runs with SCH, but I've yet to do the run with a completely dedicated group (Usually the tank and one DPS are familiar, but we pick up a random). Our runs have been like 13 or 14 instead of 10, but that is about practice and voiced chat (We don't use during our run; tank is Friends List PLD). You have to anticipate when they'll fight the pack so you can place the pixie before you arrive and set Sacred Soil. When you reach there, you may need to throw a lustrate but you can usually just Physick the tank. Make sure the BLM LBs the last pack before the NM to avoid damage issues.
