Edit: I'm also really really happy Colborne is getting some chances and icetime on a line that isn't the 4th line. The kid is showing a lot of promise as a young, big center and I think he has plenty of potential offensive upside

Well fuck. It was nice being undefeated in regulation while it lasted, but all good things come to an end. The Flames definitely were the better team for the majority of the game, but a few lapses early and a lack of experience down the center were our downfall. We lost a LOT of big faceoffs in the Offensive zone. In fact, we might have lost all of them in there in the third period. So yeah, that doesn't help when the Flames are trying to tie things up on the PP or with a minute left and the goalie pulled.

Honestly Lundqvist played great in the first, and after the Caps failed to score on their 5-on-3, they just looked flat. Can't blame Holts for either goal. Also fuck that Stonehands Chimera motherfucker, he is useless. Erat-Grabs-Brouwer 2nd, Fehr-Laich-Ward 3rd please...

Buffalo doesn't have Nate Gerbe anymore, so I doubt any deal will happen. Clearly the only thing we need atm is another garden gnome.
In all seriousness, we'd probably overpay for a rental on a goalie, just to have them sign somewhere else in July.
ie: Miller to Edmonton for Yakupov, Eberle, Gagner and our next 17 #1 over... I mean draft picks.

To be totally honest, I dunno who I'd want as a goalie. Granted, almost anyone would be an upgrade from Dubnyk, but you'd need a goalie who can play lights-out with a team of horseshit in front of him. (Read: Patrick Roy 1993, where Montreal had no business winning the Cup, but he led them there.)
Otherwise, we get James Reimer, Ryan Miller (just throwing the name out there because of the rumor), Ilya Bryzgalov etc etc, and they'll all suck here. Especially Bryz. He had it made in Phoenix where it was such an amazing defensive structure in front of him, that he'd come here and be overwhelmed.

It's an easy move on paper to be like "Trade *Young Forward* for *Established Goalie and/or Dman*", but it's not gonna work out that way at all.
