Good game, Pens really were working the Avs early but couldn't bring it home. Giguere was pretty fucking good, there were a lot of good chances and a lot of shots. One of the few Pens losses that didn't really piss me off because it was well fought and a really good match.

pretty much this, colorado is a bit legit. we really took it to them and they handled everything we threw at them. surprised to see so many fellow wrestlers in the NHL thread, I too wrestled in MS/HS

the new name is in reference to Adam Deadmarsh, one of my all time favorite Kings. His nick name was Deader and he wore 28 in LA and 18 in COL.

Yeah, he only played here for like 2 seasons but he was well loved here. Sucks his career had to end so early due to concussions.

I agree. His ice time has been going up game by game and I'm pretty sure he also has the most goals on the team too lol. The biggest argument for him is where will he develop better. He can't go down to the AHL and he's far too good to go back to the Juniors, that'll probably hurt/slow down his development if anything. I honestly think constantly playing him against these NHL vets is the best thing the Flames can do.

Also, fuck. 2/2 on the PP and then letting in a shorty on the third one. Albeit, it was a terrible penalty on Reggie, so it's kinda justified

I think Monahan will do fine in the NHL. Just manage his ice time and he'll be okay.

Looks like Edmonton is blowing up the team and starting a rebuild. It makes perfect sense, they've been terrible for 7 years now, might as well start new with a fresh crop of young players.
