East more physical than the West? Surely you jest. Maybe the Leafs are full of pugglists, but the West is a lot heavier hitting in general. Not to mention their travel and flight times are drastically reduced.

I don't see that at all, the East has always been harder hitting as the West has been a faster paced game, looking at last year, the top 5 hitters are all from the East

2 solid performances on back 2 back nights from both our goaltenders, Berniers rebound control is a lot more solid than I've seen with Reimer over the past couple years, I still think Reimer deserves the nod moving forward, I think he played solid last night and Bernier hasn't really done anything to "take" the job away from Reimer, though he was solid tonight.

I'd still like to know what the upper brass was thinking in bringing in Bernier, I think both the guys are solid goaltenders, and both are good enough to be starters on most teams, and I can't see them both remaining happy splitting time, especially Reimer seeing how he just inevitabely gets thrown under the bus in TO, he's a solid guy and I think he deserves better

Hits are subjective based on the house counters, means nothing. The East has always been regarded as more highly skilled/offensive, while the West is more defensive and grindy.

Where I live, everyone talks about the speed of the West, and the roughness of the East, you can't sit there and tell me that teams like Detroit/Vancouver/Edmonton are built around a gritty game and not a fast paced more skilled/offensive style of hockey. I know there's teams in the west that play gritty hockey, but in the East, Philly/Jersey/TO/BUF/Boston and so on, play a more gritty game then most, and even your face paced teams like MTL have been forced to bring in the likes of Parros so they don't get pushed around. There's exceptions to the rule on both sides, but I'd say for sure the East is a much grittier game

Its honestly stupid over all since as you said, all teams are built different. Wings have never been a physical team and they were in the west for years.
