First of all, I'm an Alabama football fan, and currently rolling on 14 years of not allowing myself to get too worked up if shit doesn't go the way I want. Great zinger about the Caps though.

Second, you complain the most out of any fan of any team, regardless of their current state or recent success. Only BK is really on your level.

Third, other recent Cup champs know when to zip it. The Chicago contingency doesn't get all pissy if they play like shit and lose a few games. Ishido's five years are up and he doesn't bitch about the Wings. Even Sep and Brill stay mostly objective about the state of the Pens.

Fourth, do you really think the Kings will struggle this season? I mean honestly struggle, like no playoffs? It's October. Pace yourself.

Honestly, this is what i'm talking about. You guys make this out to be bigger than it even is. They had a bad game, I wasn't happy that they played poorly, end of it. You guys spin into that im bitching like we are going to miss the playoffs when i didn't say ANYTHING like that all. Why even make it out to be something that its not?

Honest, this shit was 2-3 years ago. How much did I bitch last season? Hardly at all. Its just getting ridiculous that i'm not allowed to be unhappy at all when they play poorly.

This whole "5 year thing" is just dumb. Ive seen others get upset when their team is playing poorly, or players on their team aren't doing well and doing stupid plays.

I don't think the Kings are a terrible team and going to miss the playoffs. I think they are right up there in the west as one of the elite. Doesn't mean I don't have to right to call them out when they play like shit.

Totally random story on the side:
My boss was down in Chicago for some trades show, and I was thinking "Man, I wonder if he'll have somehow gotten to go to the Hawks opening night / banner raising dealy."
Turns out, he met up with some PR guy at the show and had VIP box action at the game. Got a buncha pictures/video from the game that night, AND got to try on one of the Stanley Cup rings. Free drinks/food etc from the sounds of things. Just an insane night.

"Richy, ready for the part that'll piss you off the most? I .... don't like hockey at all. But those rings are pretty fucking huge. You should see the $20k pendants all the GF's of the players/staff got. Those are pretty insane too. Not a bad night for a guy who doesn't pay attention to hockey at all, hey?"
