I think it was a bystander who finally did step in and stopped them from continuing to beat on the guy. And I think the crowd got involved when they started going after his wife as well.

The undercover cop may be arrested tonight...

I don't understand why people are criticizing the police officer and not all the other people there.
to me, it's not so much a criticism of him specifically as it is all of them. However, since he actually has relevant training and responsibilities, I think his failure to be a good citizen is proportionally greater.
Bigger you are, harder you fall. More training/responsibility you have, worse the failure.
it was a joke
the cop was personally smashing out this guy's back window
obviously he should go to prison
I dont think at this point anyones gonna defend the cop if he was beating down the guys SUV...that was completely unnecessary as part of "blending in".
Because it isn't even remotely motivated by race?
Also, if that cop had stood up against the angry mob and got his ass kicked in the process he'd have been hailed a hero. Hello commendation from the police chief and accolades from your fellow citizens for doing the right thing against steep odds.
Instead he was a jerkass who is probably going to be facing felony charges.
And heard he was arrested tonight, unknown charges.
It looks like the guy was boned regardless of what he did since apparently they also have punishments for stepping in on that situation and blowing your cover lol
Um he could've just not smashed the rear window.
Dude's just lucky Johnny Tran from Fast and the Furious wasn't riding that bike.
I'm kind of confused why people think he needed to break his cover in order to stop or minimize the damage done to the driver of the SUV. The civilian that stopped the attack did nothing more than walk over and say "that's enough guys." Sometimes all it takes is a single dissenting voice to break up the mob mentality and shock people back into rational thought. If he wanted to maintain his cover he could've encouraged people to get back on their bikes and gtfo to evade the pigs that had obviously been called.
