Back when I lived in PA, well before the baseball strike, I was a pretty big Pirates fan. Grew up watching them. Back when they had van Slyke, Bonds, and Bonilla. They could never beat the Braves in the playoffs though.

But yeah, when it comes to baseball, I root local now.

amen brother, habs/leafs jets/oilers last evening. LOL@pirates baseball. Only went as a paying ticket buyer if I needed a $9 way to kill a sunday afternoon with a girl or some friends, now that they'll jack outfield bleachers up to $25 or something ridiculous I definitely won't be there anytime soon.

Also I have good memories of Three Rivers Stadium, still haven't been to any of the newer Pitt arenas. Gonna try to hit up a Pens home game this year though.

$25 for outfield bleachers is a bargain some places ㅠㅠ

Yes but you still gave them money. The last game I went to was in 95 just to check out PNC Park.

Yeah I don't doubt it costs 100x more for NY/BOS/etc but Pirates baseball is ass and in general this is still a football town where baseball competes with hockey for 2nd (and has lost frequently these past years)
