    It is true that if you don't go over their min headcount caterers or venues will charge you extra .. but sounds like they want something simpler than that. Also sounds very lucky that they won't have too much planning drama if everyone is far away

    Yeah, my idea is it'll be ceremony with an officiate & family somewhere free (park or somewhere), change into nice civvies/pick a dress that isn't too wedding-y, go for a swish lunch/dinner at a fancy restaurant. Noone need ever know it's a wedding reception And when there's only a dozen people it could work!
