There is a straight-up understandable mechanic to twisters; I'll probably do a framework write-up after the next FC or two kills it, but we'll have a video sometime within the next few days. It would be nice if they'd give a brief rundown of how Twisters actually work. Most of us aren't going to spend 30 hours / week wiping to Twintania to figure out this horribly obscure mechanic.
With that said, BG is known for it's dedication, not for being skilled (i.e. praising BC's encounter tuning, while in reality, it's difficulty is on par with normal WoW dungeons). I'm interested in finding out whether Twister is actually unforgiving, or it just seems unforgiving to them.

Again, I'll point you to their statement about ADS. Nobody who has experienced any real MMORPG PvE content (i.e. Sunwell in WoW) would consider anything in BC (barring maybe Twintania, once we figure out how Twister works) with any level of respect.

Zsuper is pretty dead on accurate about coil, especially as a healer. Healing coil is incredibly boring, and I don't find it very difficult, it just requires teamwork from everyone mostly, except for healers, who just stand there and spam 1212121212121212 then move every once in a while to dodge line AOE. Turn5 might be different, though.

I'm more upset with how boring coil is as a healer than it's difficulty really, they tuned encounters to hit so hard that I basically don't ever get to do anything but spam heals every GCD until we have ilvl 90 gear ; ;

Congrats to bluegartr though! It's a good accomplishment, and I'm glad they did it. No reason to insult the guys. I'm curious to how twister works.

We still stand by our remarks that Turns 1-4 were tuned well for ilvl 70 gear. Of course, it's all easy now, and none of the mechanics were fundamentally complex beyond anything we've seen in other games, but we were absolutely pleasantly surprised by 2.0 out of the gate given our low expectations from 1.0.

Unfortunately, I keep all of our members' resumes under lock-and-key like the Xavier Protocols, just in case one of them becomes Onslaught and tries to eat Franklin Richards.

Congrats BG Excal, glad to see the fight is winnable and I'm sure it will encourage a lot more people to actually try to win now rather than just wait until someone else has beaten it (my FC included).
