They fixed somethings in turn 5 again and Yoshida said BG pride of the west http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/113486
I'm surprised they aren't fixing that Divebomb strategy.
I was almost entirely sure that wasn't intended, but on the other hand, the last maintenance made it so previous Divebomb strats that involved Twintania actually divebombing into the arena no longer worked. I don't get it.
more twintania maint. mixed feelings on the changes so close to the first legit kill.
For a lot of people banging their head against this, the conflag change is more of a buff to the fight.
That is a rather non trivial amount of damage that has to be done to that in a short amount of time. Without sleep... that is gonna stop a lot of groups that have been making progression dead in their tracks. Maybe they could have never won in the first place without the deeps, but at least they were getting somewhere.
A buff to conflags makes sense though because the conflag DPS check is similar to the DK DPS check is similar to the final phase DPS check.
I saw this note from the notes on the recent maintence for T5.The Binding Coil of Bahamut is the first endgame encounter we've had the opportunity to create for FFXIV: ARR. It has taught us a great deal about how to go about creating more exciting challenges in the future.
It seems that the reason being that CT wasn't ready at launch, was well they decided to do BC first.
I have so much hope for the future of this game but with at least another 1/2 year before anymore BC contents gets added I'm having my doubts.
Personal housing being implemented 6+ months after guild housing, while coming out in 2.2, where the BC content gets added, sounds like at least 1/2 a year to me as well.
Unless there was another announcement on this matter I have missed.
Nice to see I was right about sleeping conflag.
I don't think announcing twister nerf 4 days after first clear is a coincidence. Like, they didn’t know for the last 2 months that the twister mechanic was ‘unforgiving’? To me it’s the first of nerfs to let more strugglers to catch up. In something like two weeks they’ll ‘discover’ that dive bombs or something else is ‘unforgiving’ and ‘fix’ it again. Now there is no need to hold it at the puking pandy level of difficulty for much longer. I love this kind of PR approach. Makes people think they haven’t beaten it because the mechanics were bad and not that they weren’t meant to beat it yet.
So looks like World 2nd went to a non-legacy group. Good thing dudes argued here about legacy vs non-legacy for like 5 pages.
Conflags being sleepable just felt kind of odd, not entirely surprised that they changed it. That being said, we tried BG's conflag strat earlier this week and ended up just using a 4 stack method for the fireballs since our DPS was high enough to burn down Conflags with the active tank stepping into it.
Really looking forward to doing this fight this weekend when our group goes again.
Since Twin Got nerfed last night they should be happy!
They are world first after nerf!
