Presumably standing in the middle of wherever, trying to read the direction indicator on green thing (if it is a direction indicator) and/or where Twintania is, having 7 other people all look for it on the one other person so they don't get MPK'd, and doing all of that in the like 1 second "reaction time" you'd have.

Sounds like SE.

In regards to the posts about ballad earlier, the way our bard did it before we had two was:

1. Ballad after dragons are dead and until necklace drops.
2. Foe requiem after 1st conflag until dive bombs.
3. Ballad during dive bombs.
3. Battle Voice Foe during snakes.
4. From then on, he mostly kept up ballad for our healers for the remainder of the fight. If healers were good on mana, he uses foe.

Just wanted to post to give some insight from how our FC clears twin on a weekly basis. We learned that LB3 really is not something you need to stress over getting before snake phase comes, as we realize we can easily clear the snakes with just LB2.

We were purposely doing things to build LB for snakes and then we would hit enrage because we wasted too much time building. In the end, we just went with an LB2 and easily cleared them so we don't even bother with it anymore.

I've seen some groups park the entire party infront of Twin to eat cleaves and fill meter, seems silly but might be worth considering if you need that LB3.

Yep we had everyone except the healers eating the plummets and had everyone standing in liquid hell from the adds at the beginning. One time, while doing that, we still didn't get LB3 and we said fuck it, try it anyways. Killed all the snakes easily, and we all said "ok... let's stop worrying about LB3 now"

Late to the Turn 5 bus here. Being SCH in a group who's mostly 5 piece+ i90, should I be using Eos or Selene against Twin? I'm guessing that with the tanks having a healing debuff going off on them, Eos may be the better choice. I pretty much use Selene for everything else. Also I tried to search, but can anyone remind me what kind of HP everyone should be at for our first attempts? I've got all my points into VIT just to check it out but I feel like 4500-4600 HP might be a little excessive. Thanks guys.

If fairy choice is the dealbreaker between win or lose in any fight, you have bigger problems. That said, I use Selene. Squeezing out every bit of DPS helps for bursting things down, and Eos is not making a big impact.

Consider also that during spellspeed+ aura, Selene is also improving heals marginally (herself and the WHM/SCH).

4500 HP is not excessive, phase 2 of Twintania is (in my opinion) the tightest gear/damage check in the game, you need every last bit of HP you can get and every last little bit of damage you can push out.

Our first kill our SCH had 3.8k with food and a nearly full DL BRD barely breaking 4k with food. You definitely do not NEED 4.5-4.6k but if you can spare the points, why not?

4000-4200 I'd say is a safe zone, though you can do it with as little as 3.8k as well. More is better, but if you're over 4.2k I wouldn't worry about it.

For most people, your aim is 4.2k. Anything beyond that is a bit much and not needed. If you're not sacrificing dps stats to attain that however, then by all means. For casters you might have to already sacrifice some to get 4-4.2k. Surviving below 4k usually requires luck (fireball damage range not at the highest) and/or a succor/stoneskin in advance depending on how low you go. At 3.8k, you can survive with double digit hp without any of those, but sometimes die.

With 15MND/15VIT I'm at like 4.3k. Guess I can afford to put those points back into MND. Cool.

4500 HP is definitely excessive, especially if you're sacrificing ilvl90 accessories for VIT melded shit.

As for Fairies, there's rarely a 'need' for one over the other. Eos makes it easier to play one handed tho

You "can easily" 4 stack with ~3900 (RNG deaths can occur here sometimes I've found) but 4200 is probably the ideal HP considering 3900 also puts you at some half-assed gear.

Dropped the bow and aiming ring. I'm the happiest Bard ever. Only a couple of aiming drops in over two months and then BAM double BRD.

My team is basically stuck on dive bombs right now. We avoid the first 3 no problem, but almost always get hit by the 4th one. I think it's mainly because we don't know how long Twintania disappears for before restarting the 2nd set of dive bombs while the snakes are up... is there a specific timer? I'm pretty sure I counted 45 seconds, but trying to get a confirmation from someone. I did realize the actual dive bombs are 8 seconds apart on the clock.

Oh and no focus targeting on PS3 is bullshit. :/
