Just let em die and raise em is the easiest way tbh. That, or just watch his HP more closely.

IIRC yours was the group with no casters right? Aside from the DPS issues (since you should not be seeing a 5th conflag), you just gotta gauge if, after the "last" conflag, you can down her to 55% this time or if you have to wait. As soon as it hits 55%, everyone needs to get ready for that animation where she quivers and the neuro drops. Depending on when she did it exactly she may follow it with a Plummet but aside from that everyone needs to beeline for the pit (or wherever you do divebombs) as soon as you see this.
Might also be an issue in where she's tanked; might be able to scoot her a little closer to the pit or at an angle where it's easier for the rest of the party to go go go.
There's still no fireball to feed it because Twin leaves to do divebombs. I'm not really sure what I can suggest for improving DPS. We have two full i90 and the other two aren't far behind. We've been one shotting turn 4 with 4 physical for about a month and a half now. I don't really know what else we can push out besides the tank (myself) not standing in conflags to help DPS them just a tiny bit more.
Make sure people are doing their positional rotations in between fireballs and not just standing there like idiots. We're pushing on the precipice of 3 conflags with only 2 i90 DPS ourselves. We also sync up DBs with conflags so our MT never helps DPS.
The tank not standing in conflags harms the DPS more because the healers can't DPS it at all.
If the tank is in the conflag and you're skipping death sentence no damage is going out at all. They can both clerics up and go full DPS. Ours actually DPS Twintania during that part.
i kinda figure the "we can one shot turn 4 timely" part implies the dps at least have some idea what they're doing
you're asking if a group on turn 5 doesn't know the right DPS rotations?
i imagine it's possible that people are just holding their cooldowns too much for the fast conflags or they're not used to looking for the blue/red mark so they derp and pay less attention
not really since you're not really helping pinpoint what the issue might be
most of the time when pugs derp it's because they can't dodge for shit so people die left and right and thus do 0 dps, talking about rotations isn't really relevant because outside of the derpiest players that refuse to read tooltips figuring out a DPS rotation is a pretty simple logic/arithmetic problem
not saying their dps arn't bad, it's just that it's more likely that it's something else causing rotations to be disrupted somehow (and it's obviously not people dying), asking if people know the basics of the game is just posturing
I did ask question on my first post. Just saying we have i90 we are fine
I'll tell you a story of a notorious bad monk on Hyperion. His name is noroi kisaragi, full i90 mnk
Can beat t4, but cannot beat t5. His dps is about 170 which is too low.
The only time he beats conflag is when he has other dps we are strong enough to bypass his weakness
So once again I'm not saying that the dps are bad, it's just the first thing that comes, because he didn't give much info about the problem outside we got 2 i90 dps no idea what else to do
There are like a billion ways to do T4 and not all of them require DPS to be amazing, merely good will suffice. Our coil group, 2nd dread dies before/same time as last wave hits which is more DPS check than healer check. PUG groups I've done on my alt have done stuff like MT tanking double dreads and/or OT kiting 2 pairs of K+S or other stuff which is more healer-intensive and compensating for DPS that just can't push it out.
To put it into perspective, when my group started attempting T5 we had T1-4 on farm status but couldn't push DPS needed for fast 4stack conflags or Dreadknights. We found out one of our BRDs and a BRD/DRG no longer running with us were both using the most retarded macros/rotations in the world and were parsing lower at near-full i90 than my Darklight BRD.
One of my old T5 groups used to joke that if one of the 2 bards got hit by fast conflag, we'd wipe, so proper rotations and bursts are very much needed. That and T4 shouldn't be used to gauge skill since i90 gear and documented phases pretty much means even pugs can 1 shot it.
On a parser, ACT at least, a 200 dps average is good enough to beat T5. Numbers will probably be different if you're using logrep or xivapp though.
Also it's good if healers help conflag, but if you beat a conflag JUST because healer DPS then you do have a problem
Healer DPS should help, not be necessary
3 of them are BRD so I would hope they know their very complex and intricate rotation. I know the DRG is at the top of the parse every time, but I don't have specific numbers offhand, I usually don't parse when I'm tanking. I don't know offhand if he's doing his positional skills, I'll ask him.
I don't know for sure if the healers are helping DPS during conflags. I assume not just because we're still in the learning phase as of right now, so they're probably too overwhelmed. I'll try to get them to do it in the future as we get things more stable.
I think it's mostly just a practice thing. It never ceases to amaze me how easy this game is to do something for a second, third, ad infinitum repetition. We spent a week not being able to get a single fast conflag down due to just general disorganization, but the second we did, we were clearing them almost every time. After the first time of making it to divebombs, we got there again 2 or 3 tries later. Thanks for the help and suggestions, folks.
Also, for what it's worth, I just realized I don't think more than 1-2 people were using food, and even those were less than ideal foods. Now that we're actually showing progress, I think it will be easier to convince people to blow some money on it.
Food is cheap, food doesn't wear, HQ that shit and kick whoever doesn't.
And next time plz parse, would help to find the problem person and help him or kick him if he doesn't wanna improve
I refuse to dps conflags as a white mage.
Turn 5 is a dps fight and a scholar fight, the rest of us just sit there lol.
Your dps should all be close to 300 dps or you won't beat the conflags much less the snakes.
