What? The accuracy requirement is nothing, you can hit 500+ accuracy in full Darklight. The main gear check was HP.

He didn't mention changing the HP of Conflags or Snakes. Maybe another 2.2 nerf that was implemented early?
Not at all.
2.2 might have conflagration-like mechanics where target switching will be part of the intended strategy... but that's not the case for Twintania (which was designed with no target switching in mind) and thus the global change gets reverted in turn 5.An adjustment to enemy target evaluation was made to prevent bugs in encounters for patch 2.2,
Prior to patch 2.16, this encounter was designed so that players targeted by Conflagration could not be targeted,
Because this change would drastically affect established tactics, as well as the difficulty of Turn 5, we will be reverting these changes alongside the revisions being made to Turn 2.
I don't see why you think player bitching has anything to do with any of this.
My group cleared it last night. Conflags and snakes both felt the same to me in terms of our average kill speed. Only thing that changed was LB bar being busted beyond belief. 3 bars between first and second set of divebombs with 2SCH 3BLM in the group. We typically just barely squeak by getting 2bars prior to 2.15/16, and that was with having the OT take some plummets before conflag phase.
Divebomb load times are still an issue for non-SSD PS3 users. I was somewhat hoping them mucking with the warning indicator size might have had them optimize their display times a bit, but nope. You can see Twin prep divebombs with the improved focus-target, but it occurs after the indicator shows, which means you're going to get hit if you weren't already moving. Good thing for the reject pit where you can hope she doesn't choose you on the first dive of each set.
Didn't the hotfix say they just reverted the conflag threat issue?
That's what they said, but they reverted the other stuff too. The snakes and conflags HP being changed was never mention in either the initial change or the reversion of it.
The update thread in the news subforum has at least one person who says it didn't feel any different, post-2.16 but pre-hotfixes.
Felt the same for us, but we cleared T1-4 first night on Monday, maybe it only affected groups who started a new coil after patch?
Did a PUG T5 on my alt last night and our tank was definitely able to hide in the conflag. The group I was with didn't start coil till last night so the above is probably false.
However, my alt did do 1-4 on monday.
The only thing that seemed off tonight was we got lb3 for our first time in months.
The new divebomb indicator is beautiful though, I love it. Saved me too since people think its funny to sing stupid songs really loudly during that phase in my group.
On the previous topic of turn one, we did a 1 tank/1healer Caduceus tonight. One SCH, one PLD, and a lot of deeps. Didn't feed it, let it split and merge back. That...that was fun.
TFW I'm 3/4 for spear drops on Twin with no DRGs in the party.
Bow plx.
Also bard boots in T4 don't exist.
So, what were these alleged 2.16 changes? People say it got made significantly easier, but we've had an even shittier time since then. We used to be able to split fireballs in groups of 3 for easier fast conflags, but ever since 2.16, even our 5k hp DRG is getting occasionally 1-shot by 3-way splits. Meanwhile, when we had the rare 4-stack fast conflag previously, we had no problem with it, but now we've had it blow up on us as high as 50% still.
