There's no reason for both tanks to have stacks. Whoever is rounding up all the adds should start popping their cooldowns as they grab the second set of adds, and then the MT should position himself such that everyone is in a "line", Hygeia > Off-tank > Asclepius > MT. The off-tank will end up with four but the MT should never end up with any.

This is how we position ourselves for snake phase.

My group just has the OT provoke the big snake off of the MT on the 5th divebomb and run across. grabs left snake, hallowed ground, grabs right snake. Limit goes out as soon as our BLM gets in range, almost always 2 bars, only have 3 if people take unnecessary damage to divebombs or whatever. 2 small snakes are dead and Hallowed is wearing off, OT puts up Sentinel and Rampart with the 2 stacks and waits for the other 2 to die. I provoke Asclepius off of the MT and I have a 4 stack Asclepius without any danger of having a stack on me because of unlucky positioning on the fast limit.

I (OT, WAR) hold the 2 small snakes in pit during 2nd DBs while meleeing them down to about 50%. I then run across and pick up other 2 snakes and position them behind the MT holding the big snake. BLM LB, melee down the 2 small that are still alive. I get 4 stacks on WAR and never have any issues. Just pop vengeance in the neurolink and don't drop defiance until after aetheric profusion.

^ Almost identical to my group's strat. Though, I question whether you still have your stacks by the time Twin comes back down.

50/50. Lately we've been 1 short every week and running with a pug. Even with stacks though it's np.

My group has one of our DRGs grabbing one snake and we kill that one, off tank pulls the 2nd snake over so it gets a stack, we then bring the 2nd snake to low hp and then kill it during the 2nd set of divebombs and then use caster LB on the big snake and the two new ones

Do you notice any difference when chaining the debuffs like that? Someone in my group mentioned it but we never really bothered to try. Seems legit.

I doubt you'll get many answers to "Do you notice a difference?", as they've likely been doing that every since their first clear. If you're not AOE-heavy (i.e. 1/2 BLMs), you're better off using that strat, just be careful not to let a stack debuff wear off before renewing it with a new stack.

We do the DPS-tanks-1-snake strat. We tried both ways starting out and our raid leader just put his foot down and said we're doing it this way now and forever. It really doesn't matter which way you do it, there's advantages and disadvantages to both. Just stick to one and practice it.

Edit: To answer your question about differences:

Chain-debuff strat PROS: OT can avoid 1 debuff. Reduced snake damage on the transition to the second set. Less shit flying around. Big snake gets a debuff earlier for cheese DOT DPS.

Chain-debuff strat CONS: Harder to ensure all 4 stacks get on main snake. Second set of snakes don't get 1st two debuffs. Any group member that gets hit with an early debuff will die to divebomb if they get hit. Wasted DPS killing 1st little snake. Early on, 3 targets to heal--if your DRG/MNK is tanking and he hits B4B out of habit he's going to have a bad time. If your BLM rips hate he's going to be interrupted constantly. Might be worth to have a PLD cover, but little snake aggro can flip easily. If a DRG/MNK is picking it up he's going to have his positioning bonuses messed with.

I've only done the strat i mentioned and having myself(I'm the only blm) aoe the first two snakes to around 50% while the others dps the large snake and then LB all 5 after the divebombs.

Out of the two i prefer the one we do now, the non aoe one but, i wouldn't say one strat is better than the other just different.

Unlike the rest of the fight, the whole snake section is a fixed duration. Long as you can reliably down big snake before Twin does profusion, it doesn't really matter how do you do it.

My group's is similar to Sath's, except our WAR & PLD have swapped roles. HG used as a safety net after snakes are in position for AoE LB, since small-snake tank always seem to go down really fucking quick there in my experiences. Also saves our 2SCH some charges to make the phase transition smoother.

Took our members mostly darklight drg cousin through t1-4 again and decided meh wtf let's attempt t5 with him again. Ended up downing it on the first attempt. We all felt pretty pro.

Best part for me was twintania's model never loaded when I zoned in, but the nameplate was there for me to target. So I was literally fighting a giant void of nothingness for the entire battle. Plummet farts appeared on the ground randomly. Gusts of divebomb winds happened for seemingly no reason. Balls of doooom appeared out of thin air. Liquid hells were spontaneous combustions. I wish I streamed it. I tried to take screenshots, but every time it would just say "Screenshot Failed" and I'd chuckle even more.

Just curious, what do you all do if the main tank happens to get the liquid hells on them in final phase? Do you:

    A) Run away like normal, making people deal with their own hatches until you can get her back into position?

    B) Eat 2 or so of the fireballs and then circle strafe around Twintania to put the hells around her but still leave space for you to tank and melees to attack

    C) Run them into the neurolink basically placing them on the offtank, and then come back out after the hells are done.

On our first attempt that we got to the final phase, we wiped at 3% to enrage timer. Did the circle strafing around her, but I panicked at first and just started circling her as soon as the first one hit me, so the fire on the ground was too spaced out and our MNK couldn't hit Twin at all for however long they were on the ground..

Our tank does B, though I don't think we ever discussed it. That's just what I see him do. It leaves a beautifully tiny spot in the middle for the OT to stand.

B makes the most sense as you don't take a ton of unecessary damage or screw up the positioning for hatch or the OT. I honestly don't think cutting off one melee with fire for the duration of a liquid hell is that bad for overall dps, I'd say you have dps issues besides liquid hell preventing the one monk from dpsing.

I do D. Place them in a rectangle in front of Twintania, not moving her any and only rotating her slightly. Each of the 6 spots in front of her can support two stacks of each, and there will always be a safe spot at the end to stand and tank afterwards.

We do sort of B. Tank just pops a cooldown and eats them, then rotates. Last week I think he had to do this twice in a row so a little dicey for the melee but not terrible. OT in the neuro didn't have to move at all.

For my group, i ate all 5 then move out. My healers never has issue healing through that.
