As for new shows, the Arrow spin-off The Flash, Rob Thomas' iZombie, Jane the Virgin and The Messengers were all picked up for the 2014-2015 TV season. However, the potential Supernatural spinoff Bloodlines was not ordered, leaving the fate of the shapeshifters and werewolves in Chicago unknown.

Posting this here mostly because the Bloodlines spinoff, didn't get ordered for next season. Perhaps they realized how bad the pilot episode was and rethought things.

no surprise there, spinogfs only work if you have a really strong fresh cast with a good story or you transfer some of the strong maincast over with a good/ok story.

the originals works because to cast transfer, same applied to angel back then.

It just seems like they haven't even tried with this pilot. They would been better of having Ben somehow regain his memory, find out Dean is his father afterall, and have show follow him getting into hunting.

that highschool hunter group was really ok, bu fuck ghostfacers lol. they could have had some options if they wouldnt constantly kill all cool/good characters. meg anyone? abadon? season 5 the gril and her mom against 4 apocalyptic riders? bobby? you just dont go out and kill every cool char if you intend to do a spinoff

I liked Gadreel and I think they could've done more with his character. Metatron was not a good villain to begin with and they should've kept Abaddon. But oh well, still enjoying the show and what can you really do when the show was intended to end 4 seasons ago
