2 SCH healers are the worst combination you can use and will really not work in coil at all

SCH+SCH does not work well, cureskins from different players do not stack like regens from different WHMs.

You'd essentially have to have one SCH never use Adloq and Succor and just spam Physick.

It could work, but it's far from ideal. The lack of AoE cures is largely mitigated by 2 fairies constantly topping people off and disciplined use of Steady-d Eos and AoE regen (not easy to do in hectic situations) but it's just not recommended.

Our group started out as sch/sch and cleared turn 1, then I said fuck this and geared my whm. Haven't looked back since.

Turn 4 is going to be a real bitch if you don't get that straightened out, you can't hold back at all in there.

Also pair your bards with the PLD and take all the stress of silence off of everyone. There's almost zero chance you'll both be locked in GCD long enough to miss the silence. It's also a great safety net if someone gets off count or accidentally fires off silence.
Yeah will try the pairing tonight, I was usually firing in sometimes to help them out still but I was on CD when it went off and he'd just done a pacmac iirc, so will try the double silence then. Yeah I saw some videos of Turn 4 and something really needs to change if me and the BLM are pulling hate, guess we'll see once we actually get there and they'll understand more then.

On another note, my FC cleared Turn 2 before with PLD+WAR and WHM+SCH once we got the strat down but just recently our WHM wasn't able to log on due to work so we got another SCH to replace him. Replaced the WAR with another PLD also and using the same strat we seem to get melted. Does anyone else have experience doing the fight with 2 SCH healers?
I usually pop it at about ~50%ish or so usually after 1 rotation to help put my hate back down but yeah still pulling hate. This is with me waiting 10-15 seconds before even engaging ADS. It couldn't be because ADS has slashing resistance, right? Since we take the double left so BRDs have extra DMG.

Double Left gives Magic Resist and Slash Resist so yeah they are generating less hate through damage because of that. I'm pretty sure you'll have a better time if you use Quelling Strikes right when you first start engaging. I assume when you engage after 10-15s you are also popping your damage cooldowns for your DoTs and what not so having Quelling up for those is better than building up all that hate early on. You'll also be able to use Quelling again earlier if you use it from the get go.

My progression group consists of BLM, MNK, DRG, PLD, PLD/WAR, SCH, WHM, and a BRD. We've gone double left for Magic Resist/Slash Resist. I personally, as a BLM, have little to no difficulties performing my damage role in this turn, but I was wondering what the alternative to giving ADS the magic damage reduction buff would be. And at any rate, passing around Allagan rot is the most effort I have to put into the ADS fight, aside from not standing in stuff.

EDIT: We're cleared up to Turn 4, which should be done this coming Wednesday if I've got my days in order. I'm really excited!

one thing you can do if your setup is comfortable enough and the team is patient enough is to have the entire party do basic damage with zero dmg cd's used. then once rot goes up you enter your burn phase and blast away. this is mostly to kill ads with less risk of rot blowing up, but it has the added benefit of getting hate settled more smoothly.

Yes, when I engage I am popping buffs 1st and applying my DoTs. I usually wait 10-15s, pop internal, BfB, straight shot, raging, BL, veno, hawks, wind and then spam heavy shot until either BL procs, my straight shot comes off or I need to reapply buffs. I'm not sure how perfect my rotation is but it's been working for me I've usually been coming 2nd on logrep which is beating another BRD(4 heros accs) and a DRG. BLM beats me, not by huge amounts but by enough to not be able to come 1st haha.

Either I drop or my fellow tank drops and then everything goes straight to hell.
I'm sure you've already figured this out by now (I'm a bit late), but it's because of the special abilities and however they've coded them to work. It's also why, rare as it is but it can happen, you'll get Static > Special > Static literally back to back and unless there's a 3rd interrupt or he's drug his ass on the 2nd one and the first rotation is up you're eating a paralyze.

I got tired of seeing myself or the OT suddenly drop and wanted to know where the damage was coming from. Well, like someone mentioned he almost always does a debuff attack with one or two swings immediately (if it's the first usage of a special expect 2 extra swings so three hits total -- i.e. primetime turtle mode). Because the debuff hits you first you're already taking the next tier of damage on the stack. Rot's the worst, obviously, because of the potential hectic nature depending on a group's setup and who gets the initial application (we just decided to say "Fuck it" and had the ranged stack up and let it auto-jump after the first round's solidified).

Once we figured out why we'd drop that fast it was easier to play and deal with it. It just royally sucks that you can't block or parry anything any ADS model sends your way.

If you let yourself get up to 4 stacks you're gonna kiss the floor sooner or later. Tanks should be pulling off one another as soon as their stacks drop.

^ Which is typically around 3 stacks @20 seconds (accounting for latency). New stack drops at about 18/19 seconds, so the window is pretty small if you're doing 3 stacks. That all depends on the number of Laser/Cannons he does and if Rot already started firing off, this makes him lag as much down to 10 seconds on 3 stacks before he has a chance to drop the next stack. But yes, ideally as soon as other tanks stacks drop.

The reason you pull hate off of tanks easier going left left boss is that the first left node gives slashing resistance to both the third node and ADS so tanks have one less thing to generate hate with.

Anything is better than giving that fucker haste. With the terrible latency delay on stuns and the lolrandom resist factor of pld silence, unless you take 2 brds to everything, that laser alone rapes entire teams in seconds.

Watched a group (not the entire time, but partially) fail through turn 2 for about 3 hours, never beat it lol. Poor souls.

One time we had the brilliant idea that killing more orbs would debuff the boss more, so we took a roundabout path to kill as many as we could within the time limit.

You can imagine how that worked out. ._.

Kill the Allagan Rot node for super mode ADS. Shit is fun.

We tried. It wasn't super fun because no one could dodge lasers in time and no one could silence paralyze in time. Shit didn't even have time to get ugly; it was a wipe within 10 seconds.

But giving haste to ADS takes it away from Twintana.
