Any idea what the math behind that is? 1 combat skill = 1 macc?
I think they always had that base dmg but it wasn't displayed in EN client, sucks if not >.>
If they made the rate consistent, you can just check the renamed items at BGwiki and compare to the item levels. For instance, some went from like 48? to 18 mACC, so you just take the difference and divide that by iLV.

battlemod is broken i think
So with itemlevel and combat skill determining macc, shark dagger as bards best debuff weapon now?
What a sad update. Saddest I've ever seen.
I misremembered the 48 to 18 item (Didn't happen), but essentially, you could see if they made the conversion match the previous value. Basically, take an iLV + mACC of two items and find the difference in iLV and mACC and then do mACC/iLV. See if that rate is true for other items as well.
ex:
Item 1: iLV150 and 50mACC
Item 2: iLV200 and 100mACC
(100-50)mACC/(200-150)iLV
50/50 = 1
1mACC/iLV
That also assumes all future weapons are designed with that in mind, without exceptions like the pre-existing Voay staff getting -m.acc added serverside.
Yeah, the answer is that weapons used to have a unique macc vs ilevel relationship and now SE has changed it in some undisclosed way. They say it has increased, at least, so perhaps everything is scaled off atinian staff now.
It could be just equal to what the skill is on each item. Which means higher item level = higher macc. Would make sense since its more staff skill on atinian staff then there was macc.
I'd be willing to bet it's based on skill. Probably something close to 1:1. And the just lopped off macc stat so you didn't have like 400 macc. This also helped rebalance some oddballs like tama. Also HQs would also lead me to believe it's skill based. I just find it odd that atinian would now have same as +1
I'm really wondering if, given the changes to Blue Magic damage and accuracy, the job might become more useful for Fracture runs and on bosses.
Imagine if Sudden Lunge suddenly started landing on Tojil and company? If Bilgestorm now lands reliably and doesn't wear off almost right away?
If it's possible then wouldn't it be worth bringing at least one Blue Mage?
