The simplest explanation is that SE is retarded and fails at coding. The people who are skeptical are starting to sound like conspiracy theorists at this point. I mean, somebody somewhere screwed up BADLY for the amount of gil that is being confiscated to even exist in the first place and for people to be insta-leveling; it doesn't really matter how that's happening, just that it is.

ive just spent two solid weeks leveling and gearing 5 jobs and nowim ready for Coil with SCH WHM BLM and SMN and even BRD but not geared yet missing weapon

mind it? yup we mind it, thread is 6 pages long on best post/per page setting. It's pretty shitty, but we've been playing video games from SE for years.... it's pretty much understood that they are going to screw the pooch in MULTIPLE GIGANTIC ways.

Doesn't mean their game isn't still fun for the most part. if it wasn't for the most part, i'd have jumped ship weeks ago/1.0/seekers of adoulin/voidwatch(this one came close)/abyssea/salvage bans/HNM/ETC....ETC...
I think the reaction was more of the fact that you posted nothing about the exploit and did post about your own personal disproval. which no offense, nobody gives to fucks about in this thread.

Most won't know or believe this happened no matter how much proof you provide, of those that do or have seen it themselves they will simply play past it even though they will piss and moan in the short term.

Most of us played FFXI for many years, we saw how badly SE ran XI and none of us quit over it and there were things worse than this there. This is some nice drama but it won't do much of anything at all and don't fool yourself into thinking it will.

Anyone that played XI at the top level should not be surprised by this really. If I were to bet on what they will do it will be that they never fix this and instead have an auto banning script when someone abuses it.
