SE is going to fix it. And at that time we will see something like trillions of gil taken out of the game. I hope we get updates with each ban wave what they have done.

I get the rest of your post, but I don't recall anything as stupid as a "press button, get infinite items and gil" exploit in XI. XI had some pretty shitty coding but even it didn't have a exploit this ridiculous.

It's not as damaging to this game because of how easy it is to be self-sufficient though. I'm just enjoying the drama myself.

Wasn't taj able to force items (inc r/ex) into players bazaars and steal them? I have no idea how hard that was to do compared to this, but it seems pretty similar in that the client was able to do shit it really shouldn't have permission to.

No, he was able to lock items in peoples bazaars but they were not purchasable.

XIV is so easy (lets be honest) that even making all the best items isn't anything that game breaking. The gil creation, again is no big deal server wide because they just wipe it in massive chunks and blame RMT. This is why the RMT shouts actually work in their favour, they can remove mass amounts of gil that would be unacceptable in most other mmos and have most players on their side thinking it's giving the finger to rmt.

Imagine if Blizzard removed billions of gold from the game, there would be a riot. On XIV? Good job SE you took the gold from the RMT! The RMT allow them to fix their stupid mistakes and come out looking like heros.

I'll take this shoddy server coding over the endless bot and apradar domination of FFXI honestly. Any game where you are forced to cheat to be competitive is bottom of the barrel. XI made legit players into botters/cheaters because it was just flat out broken and they finally did fix it years later the content was outdated and nobody cared anymore.

we cannot see inboxes or PMs, anyone who does do this is an idiot, its such an easy thing to get caught doing. its like running fleetool in front of a group of GMs

and yes the guy is banned, I might even give his IP to SE as well

It was just a one line post saying he wanted rl monies to show you the exploit and would show the exploit 1st before payment but like I said he was a fucking idiot bullshitter, period. Anyone would keep the exploit to their selves and sell to rmt but I still call bullshit on all of this as I said pages back when dude posted he made 50 grand until I see some proof.

I do agree there is a exploit because it is SE tho but it's just not as groundbreaking as people think.
