You dont need to give they guy anything for he to teach the exploit, everybody can pull it with a bit (or a lot) of reading and a few tools.

I do agree one has to be stupid to pay for something that is probably well documented already.

It's just kind of annoying, because I want to play with the models. But people are hush hush about extracting stuff from the sqpack because lua scripts are in there too

I'll figure it out myself when I get the time.

Just an fyi, this exploit is extremely easy to replicate. Anyone looking to get themselves banned are complete idiots if they pay someone for this info.

Guess he missed that guy who had the Legacy Chocobo/Goobbue on the non-legacy server on the Lodestone, or maybe the video of a guy turning potions into Allagan pieces. If you don't believe those things there's really not much else people can do to convince you short of maybe outright giving you a step-by-step guide of how to do it.

Video is easy to fake considering private server software has been floating around since beta. Never saw lodestone link. Still waiting for real proof. zzz

A lot of people around here did. If you want to claim that all the people that saw it are lying then I guess that's your choice. Alternatively you could possibly argue there's some other exploit that allowed it to happen but either way it's less likely than this just being a real exploit.

Of course, given that the guy has disappeared off the Lodestone it's also probable that SE knows about it and are workin...oh god i can't finish that sentence

Yeah I saw that profile too. People were talking about that on here before anyone knew of the exploit. I don't get why SE haven't done anything about it since shit hit the fan the other day. Maybe they are waiting for the patch but I doubt it, that kind of stuff requires emergency maintenance.

I find it more disconcerting people just accept it as fact because SE is SE. Those of us wanting to see more than a vague STFU report, a potentially fake/edited video, and some random screenshot inspiring an anonymous posting, well... we don't doubt something can happen, just not the way certain folks are claiming. I know I believe things would be far worse if this was actually out there and possible, as the alternative implies SE is on the ball and reacting before people can fuck up the economies... which flies in the face of the whole "SE is SE" premise others are grounding themselves in.

This is actually a thing, I can confirm from personal experience. My friend was doing it this morning and handed me some gil. inb4 ban, etc. Don't really care, we were just curious.

It is a deep philosophical question determining what is real or not.

The only thing I know for sure is that I exist, everything else falls within probabilities.

It's reasonable to accept that this exploit is real, but its also possible I am in a mental ward right now imaging all this.
