Is there some way to read about this stuff? Those links on Wikipedia are garbage. The Zynga link leads to a summary of the lawsuit back when it was filed, not when it was won. And while the text blurb says "successfully sued", half of their lawsuit was about the use of copyrighted images on the RMT site. I managed to dig up the docket, but that doesn't tell me about the verdict.
The other example on wikipedia mentions lawsuits, but doesn't mention success or failure. I clicked the link, but it didn't provide much insight.
This is fucking hilarious.
I am actually not sure since it was awhile back and googling just gives me some lawsuit about banging with friends.
I can imagine, however, that SE actually has a stronger case than most other mmos as "Gil" is unique to the series, in the same way Zynga's currency is unique. Whereas things like "gold" is generic.
I can't wait till this app comes out for the iPhone.
MYTHOLOGY CAP???? HaHa, NOT IN MY EORZA
It lags the fuck out of my phone also. Someone should hack it.
Which brings me to what I think would be amazing.
A Robin Hood hacker:
"Hey guyz, just re-wrote the duty finder so all dungeons give the same philo/myth as AK"
"Hey all, fixed the ability firing, going on CD, but not applying the buff issue"
"Phew! Took me all weekend but fixed a major security flaw on the servers!"
I need some proof that this Throwaway guys post is legit and that him and his so called fucking friends made this much money. I can get on here and spout I made 50 grand as well from an online exploit but I call bullshit.
Edit: Also guy says af2 and shit are selling for $1500 a set to just google it well I just looked on the rmt sites and could find no such truth to any of it.
Did anyone post picture proof other than that pic which has been up for weeks or is this still he said she said no pics.
There was a character you could look up on the Lodestone with a Goobue mount and all minions on a non-legacy server. That's all the evidence I needed to believe it.
Unfortunately, if you didn't catch it before the bans, that character has unsurprisingly been banned and can no longer be searched, so you'll just have to take the word of the people who saw it at the time.
Aside from that, you're not going to get proof that some 1 postcount scrub profited off of it or anything.
Holy fucking lol at the amatuer lawyers discussing the legalities of RMT and then to cite Farmville as some kind of evidence. Don't quit your day jobs, a career in law isn't in your future.
This was the character that had all that shit, maybe someone can use it to find a cached version or screenshot
