    My computer's "phantom" start-ups

    So my computer always turns on by itself at the stroke of midnight. To this day I'm puzzled at why it does this, and I don't even know where to begin >_>

    Usually I tend to sleep AFTER midnight, but if I decide to sleep before, I'll always be woken up by my computer starting up by itself, on the dot, at 12:00AM...

    Anyone can offer advice on where I can start to fix this? Really annoying when I need to sleep early, and I don't really wanna have to unplug every night I hit the sack early lol.

    And yes, I was woken by it turning on a few minutes ago ?_?

    it can be set to wake on lan in the bios or set to wake at certain times in the bios

    Your computer is following your VCRs lead. Figure out how to change the clock on your VCR and it'll stop

    (its a BIOS setting, as Sonomaa pointed out)

    Yea, it's in the BIOS. Easy fix really.
