No, I'm assuming D90. That was scaled off the DPSs given in the sword examples, and I think I rounded down by 1.

There are three reasons for it:
    1) When you switch from Single to Dual wielding, you gain an extra hit on WS. This is worth about 22% WS damage on Pyrrhic Kleos in the spreadsheet.
    2) The increase in TP gain from single-wielding in this situation is diluted by the animation delay because the WS rate is so high. Base TP Time is 473 delay for single-wielding and 583 delay for Dual Wielding, but 120 of each is due to the animation. If there was no animation delay, you'd be looking at a 31% WS rate difference. As it is, you're looking at a 23% WS rate difference.
    3) You trade the offhand stats (10 Acc, 8 Atk, 2% TA, 15 DEX) for a shield (2 Acc, 1% Haste, 2 STP - Assuming you can unlock and beat Cracking Shells).

1.23/1.22 = the benefits almost negate each other, and then you lose offhand stats. So that's why. Animation delay is to blame!

Edit: Also, it does need just a little more than 1% Haste. If Ionis had been JA Haste instead of Magic Haste then it might have worked.

Ionis is Gear Haste, not Magic Haste.

Was about to ask! I always assumed and read that Ionis was Gear Haste.
    Has it been tested actually?

Then I guess he wrote "Magic Haste" but meant "Gear Haste"?

Has WoE picked back up on your servers since this news came out?

On Shiva during NA prime time there were only 2 PUPs in WoE. Myself and a LS mate.

We ended up duoing #13 with relative ease, to our surprise. #9 was also cake. The only death occurred in #7 but we still won that too.

Drop rate on Dice/Residue still sucks though.

I bought well over 10k currency in a day before. It was the day after they released info on the SOA weapons. People were bazaaring 100 pieces for cheap everywhereeeeee and I wanted a ghorn brd mule.

Don't think it was 16k though, probably closer to 12-13k

How very relevant when the discussion was about the time period pre-SoA when everyone was doing voidwatch!

Are you suggesting that there was a time during the vwnm era when currency was even easier to get than the day after the announcement of delve weapons?

I've been buying them for a long time since I usually take my good time with anything in this game, and I remember the pain of having to go back to those prices.

Currency was much lower than that before SoA came out, there was an abundance of currency. Of course the two things are linked, more offer, less demand, price goes down.
I remember the pain of seeing currency so low when I paid so much for my coins.
When I was on the last steps of my horn, forced to rebuy the 1200 coins I lost, Shells were no higher than 5k, usually lower. At that point currency had pretty much standardized and all coins were more or less the same price.
You could also find a wide offer of 100 coins and some rare (bit with realistic prices, not just bazaar showoff) 10k coins.

    Plates 10 mils? Lolwut?
And how does Dross matter? Don't think anybody mentioned Riftdross so far.

You also seem to forget how many people got Marrows by farming these with their LSs without paying a single gil (including you) whereas the same was of course much less common for the Empyreal materials, because of the chest drop system and because of the quantity required.
Relics have always been the easiest of the 3 even back then, it's not even a matter of opinions, check how many Relics you can see at level 99 and how many Empyreals.
Of course, the difference back then was definitely small compared to the huge one there is today.

Getting 15k currency in a day was rare, difficult, but possible. At worst it was very likely to get very close to that.
Good luck getting 1500 HMPs and 60 Cinders in a day instead.
i think some people are missing the point. The point is when voidwatch was in full force an empy cost as much as a relic, they hovered around the same price to finish to 99. It was never mentioned if you could get all mats for an empy in one day or for a relic (I really doubt you can get 15k coins in one day either unless you buy overpriced currency which makes the relic more expensiv).

There was even a VW period where plates did hit 50-75k, while currency was hovering around 6k for shells 6-8k for bynes and 7-8k+ for bronzepieces. i think this was around the time when resolution hit and everyone went on a scourge bandwagon mode. Fuck I couldnt even move plates during that time for 75k.

In any case neither of the 2 weapons is harder to make if both events were in full force. Mythic however is on a total different scale.

Either way past is the past and we have to deal with the abysmal vw mat situation and just abysmal server population/participation now. Shame the displacers aren't cheap otherwise might be able to just dual/tribox some over and over till you finally get drops. Wouldn't be fast by any means but still.

No, I'm not. But that doesn't make your post relevant.

I'm certain Uptala could be comfortably killed/proc'd with four, assuming there's at least two real players involved. It's a joke with five or six, from personal experience.

BLM, BRD and someone /NIN makes that a none issue. Likelihood of not being able to proc is pretty low, particularly when the worst case scenario is you waiting five minutes for a new set of options.

BLM, BRD/WHM, SCH/BLM, MNK/NIN should make pretty short work of it

Possible I'm sure, but without a dedicated stunner and MNK(only because of the blunt weakness), things would probably get slow/rough. Also lose marches, etc. You're going to want at least two people so both killing and proc'ing are getting full attention anyway, so there's little reason to try to work with only three characters

Shpw me that it can reliably be done in a realistic time frame, and ill change my tune. Cause right now youre banking on having maybe 1/3 of the available procs in your favor, and relying on lv 1 procs to cap out might take a while.

Wat. You have everything but a handful of NIN and BLU spells with that setup

A quick count of the Wiki page says you'd have ~70% of the list

Edit: bump that to ~80% if the SCH is /DRK instead if /BLM
