Separating FFXI and FFXIV on to separate SE accounts

My FFXI and FFXIV accounts are on the same account and I was wondering if there is any way to separate them? My friend who doesn't have xiv is playing my xi character and paying for it, but since square has sweet accommodations, we can't put 2 separate cards on the account and designate one to pay for xi and the other for xiv. On top of that, with people getting hacked on xiv, I want to put an authenticator on but that would completely lock him out of my xi character.

I realize if this is even possible, it's probably going to be like pulling teeth, but I need to get it taken care of some how. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

You could share an authenticator, but he'd have to call you up for the code everytime.

How is that sharing if he has to call for the code?


Your only option is to call SE support and see if they can help you.

Any support call that starts with, "I want to separate my XI account so I can, ahem, give it to someone else" probably isn't going to go far.

I wouldn't have to give them a reason, would I? They're both my accounts, why does it matter that I'm separating them?

the only way SE would separate the 2 accounts from 1 SE account, is to show proof that it has been compromised from a third party pretty much.
i had tried with my xi and xiv accounts but with no success
