Your Home Point / Favored Destinations?

My favored list has pretty much always been Mor Dhona / Dragonhead / (some third), as I imagine most people have it by endgame-ish. Originally Horizon as 3rd for main quest stuff, now I keep it on Gridania for proximity to relic guy at Hyrstmill (way cheaper than everyone teleporting to Fallgourd Float).

Homepoint I used to keep in Limsa since my lowest jobs coming into ARR were CUL BSM and FSH. Now I keep it at Drybone because:
-Cheap chocoport away from Uldah
-Hydra
-Convenient place for company leves ('cause what else am I gonna use leves on now)
-Close to both Drybone gatherables (Gold Ore, raw gems from north of Drybone) and South Shroud gatherables (Black Alumen, raw gems)

Main downside of my current setup is that it's a bit pricy or time-consuming to hit Limsa region.

Homepont is Ul'dah. Grid and Lim are fav'd with the third a floater for quest leve porting. Personally don't see a point in camping out in MD unless you like subjecting yourself to server lag and shout spam.

My list depends on if I am in crafting mode, gathering mode, storyline mode or battle exp mode. Aside from storyline mode, each mode pertains to the type of levees and/or camps I need to do turn ins at.

Default is one favored destination in each city and trade off the least used city [Limsa] with the camp I am using the most. Right now its Dragonhead.

When in storyline mode, I save favored destination in the camp nearest to Minfilia's office...Horizon I think [er the name escapes me now].

I miss the feature during beta that allowed us to save an extra hp that went right into our innroom.

My guess is they did not keep it because it will be in housing later.

Home = Lower Limsa
Favorites = Hawthorne Hut, Drybone and Mor Dhona.

Basically quick and easy to port anywhere important and get there in under 3 minutes.

Never saw the reason for multiple cities favoured-- airship is cheap as fuck and fast. A minute wasted BUT BUT BUT

HP is Ul'dah all day, everyday. Favorites are Horizon, Revnant's Toll, and Wineport.

HP Limsa, can jolt to aether and take boat to costa/wineport/aleport extremely fast. Favorite Dragon head, Revnant's, Power plant. Still grinding through leveling so easiest for me to get to fate locations.

HP is Ul'dah just because that's my GC affiliation
Mor Dhona is a favorited spot because RT is like the end game gathering place
then my other 2 favorited spots are usually the city where the guild is for the job im currently leveling and where im currently fate grinding.

When everything is 50, where your favorites are really doesn't matter.

Current setup:
HP at Drybone
Favorites at LL, Grid, and Horizon

Planned setup:
HP at ???
Favorites at LL, Grid, and Uldah

Cities have stuff that may warrant travel before the return recast, so instead of a city HP, the idea is to use an HP that will reduce prices to Wineport/Coerthas/Mor Dhona the most. Wineport is a rare teleport and you'll usually have others that take the teleport, so perhaps Mor Dhona/Coerthas will become the focus (In that case, Coerthas for less madness).

Favs: 3 cities or 2 cities + crafting level location.

Most of my time is spent crafting right now so my ports are setup for that. I go to MD sparingly to join an AK pug or something so it's not worth setting.

Well look how wrong I was.

For the record, Grid and Limsa are both pretty fantastic locations for HP or Fav if you need something in the region. Limsa has the boats going to pretty much anywhere (plus Vesper Bay) and chocoports going to like Wineport and Moraby (pvp coming up), Grid also has easy access to N/E/Central Shroud (and chocoport or Drybone for South) and town also has arguably the best layout for having MB + mail in same zone and close to aethernet.

Hell I might change my Dragonhead favored to something in Limsa region, because really all I'd go there for now is Darksteel.
