Am I adding it right? 4400 points total? So you can't get a worm mask, najelith, and still have enough for a HQ shank? That's kind of a bummer, wish they didn't have that stupid dbox restriction on cosmetic items.
How much accuracy on average do the level 119 BST pets have? I tested a capped out automaton with divinator and a few acc attachments the other night, with Regiment mitts, and it only had 800ish acc.
I'm wondering how powerful this pet food will have to be to make pets viable in 119+ content.
I have I believe all the 119 capable jug stats listed in the mathy parts section iirc it's mostly mid 700s
Not sure I feel about the hq thing... they've been making jugs expensive as is with new rarish items. Thinking hqing of rare items is a solution on something consumable seems counterintuitive
everytime SE takes something into consideration as in: "we consered that pets cant benefit from songs", I cringe, because they usually considered it wrong and give too weak buffs out to that particular part (in this example pets).
Well they did say that they understand pets can't receive songs so to compensate, the effects of the food would be larger. It's very exciting sounding at least. This could be the best update for PUPs, SMNs, and BSTs in years (...and DRG???).
inb4: pet food consumes food slot on master, and master cant use food.
inb4: wtf bst still sucks for difficult or very difficult content (i hope no one is expecting this lol)
I'm pretty sure it will be like standard sushi for the master, but like double sushi for the pet
I don't think they'll be that cruel. Theres only 4 jobs that will use the pet food, 3 if you remove DRG who probably wont care. Its not like adding an item thats the same bonuses as Sushi, plus pet bonus, will effect the market much, still about 9 other DD jobs that could use Sushi.
Though I understand the skepticism... I think they'll have about on par with or slightly below par with current accuracy foods, at least I hope so, otherwise it'll be a food for Summoners and afkBSTs.
you are getting your hopes too much up. We are talking about jobs, that had several emergency maintance if their pets benefited from anything good. (samba buffs working on pets anyone remember?). SE is still very anal about pet jobs getting overpowered, for whatever reason.
Probably because they dont want to wind up with an army of scrub smn/bst's 6manning VD fights.
Eh, it depends. My avatar has 878 accuracy with its acc/perpetuation set, so if it's a "double" sushi (SE said it would be very strong) and gives 30% acc compared to 15% from sushi, assuming no caps it will give my avatar 1,141 accuracy, which is good enough for most things. Not sure about other pet jobs but yeah
Those HQ pet jugs sound absolutely awful and like a waste of time
I'm more worried about how they want to handle survivability of pets.
Avatars have it worse atm, but they're easily disposable and resummonable (problem is when they get stunned by an AoE right when they're about to fire off a BP... making you waste the timer, or when they likewise get oneshotted before it goes off).
Automatons have 20min normal cooldown and 1min special cooldown for resummoning, but the second one is kinda reliant on having Repair up if you don't want to get oneshot again. Automatons also have more def/mdef/eva than pets and avatars.
Pets have worse base stats but much larger HP pool (so probably less likely to get oneshot?), they rely on Reward and Call: Beast cooldowns, they're like what, 2:30 mins?
I can't talk for BST as I've never tried, but Automatons and Avatars can already do 119 content without too many issues (Delve, normal AAs etc), of course need some specific gear for the more evasive stuff (AA MR, Mugiyinwa etc) but the situation is not that dire in the end.
Once you get to D+ stuff things become retarded, at that point you start needing accuracy and this new food will provide it, problem is that this won't solve the survivability issues... so I'm wondering if this will really change anything at all in the end.
They should just implement a SERIOUS -DT on AoE damage for pets when the AoE is not targeted on your pet (i.e. they're low in enmity list).
I also wonder: will these new food add only Acc? Or Acc+Racc+Macc? Macc especially would be awesome for Avatars, even if just for sticking debuffs and getting less resist on magical BPs. Doubt it would change much on PUP though, you'd still be hardly able to play RNG style thanks to the preposterous yalms-range limitation and positioning of the Automaton. (good luck getting it in range for shooting but outside of AoE range)
@Dasva
Completely agree. I'd be all for expensive Jugs if they were permanent items. But since they're consumable ones it's pretty retarded...
before thy give pets macc food, i would like to get some macc food for my sch >.>. the amount of meva on mission battle D+ is just insane...
expectation on gesho drop:
a katana that focuses on mdmg mab macc and is otherwise not optimal for meleeing
+ a shuriken wirh enmity + on
some kind of accessior all jobs with some dumb evasion + instead of dual wield!
a mage head piece and a melee feet piece
the other bc:
a polearm for drg that will be shitty
a body piece for melees to enhance jumps
a ammo item for mages
some dumb melee legs for light armor melees
calling it now
