I want my COR rolls to hit people when they're in other zones
Brings outside COR mules for BCNMs and Delve to a whole new level.
Absolutely in agreement. Since Luzaf already exists it didn't even cross my mind that the new ring might affect range. I instantly assumed either potency or some new/weird thing a la Roller's Ring added effect while an XI is up (say, PDT-x% for the COR while Phantom Roll is up).
I love how Camate posted because "Malithar bumped the thread! " asking about what the +10 does exactly... and doesn't even end up saying what it does just that it isn't skill
I could see them doing something like, +10 is the cap, and new gears gets introduced so any geo can get +10 with some combination of gear. And then the mythic is basically a "geomancy ii +10", breaking the cap to +20. Or maybe some other numbers?
But seeing as something like this would make sense, they're not likely to do anything similar, and will instead do something completely useless.
Was hoping so bad to use up our once per year NA dev info post.
That doesn't really make sense to me. Why cap it at all? Just have whatever other gear is available, then an additional +10 available through the Ergon. As long as all of the gear combined is balanced to a reasonable degree, there's no real point in capping it.
Because then people would bitch that they're FORCED to use gear just because of the one stat. Same reason they capped TH.
TH is different, as that gear was pretty worthless for DDing, and made it very counter productive to the group whichever way you went with it. You were either the TH whore aiming to get TH12 or whatever, or you were being the best DD you could, getting some TH on the mob, but never enough, since people always want more TH.
I'd equate this more to bitching that a Whm needs to cap cure potency, that a nuker needs to use a nuking staff, or that a Brd needs to use an instrument. Each of those cases is beyond asinine.
New RoEs given some details. Since we're on the topic of Geo, wonder if Geo spells will count for the buffing bit. Hope so, but imagine it'd be too easily exploited in their eyes, bubble up and run around party members until you complete it lol.
I am still disappointed they decided not to give GEO and RUN empyrean weapon skills.
If they don't want to put them on the empyrean weapons themselves, at least let put the jobs on the coin weapons (and let them learn those WS).
For RUN, Torcleaver is a bit redundant with Resolution but it still would be nice for double light or if you want to close Darkness with a decent WS. Dagan would be nice and fun to have for GEO (plus I like the animation for Dagan).
It'd be nice for GEO to have Myrkr too.
RUN could also get Chant du Cygne for fun too (also to make use of their A sword skill).
If I had to chose between one or the other, at least give them the club (Dagan) since that's GEO's Ergon weapon type (same with RUN and Torcleaver).
I want to melee stuff and use Dagan on my GEO for fun.
Agreed!!
At least make an equivalent quest and/or TotM base weapon so GEO and RUN could get those Empyrean WSes... I see no harm in giving RUN Torcleaver and CDC, GEO Dagan and Mykr.
All pre-Adoulin Jobs have access to at least 1 empyrean WS and half at least have access to 2 if I'm not mistaken?
Only a few jobs have access to multiple emp WS; war, drk, pld, and rng. Of those only rng had two useful ones.
If geo gets club ws empy then so does sch. After all club was our main weapon. But I agree they should be on one e.py ws. Torn and myrkr.
Yes, because Ebisu owners really carry around various fishing rods.Fishing-related objectives will be introduced for reeling in catches in fresh water, in salt water, using various fishing rods, and under other specific conditions.
I love this post so much: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/th...217#post510217

They're assuming most players don't have Ebisu Rods or Lushang's. Any serious Fisher probably has it but casuals probably don't.
Casuals don't fish because fishing is a terrible, repetitive, boring system with a shit skillup rate and no tangible rewards unless you're willing to bot it.
