JP UI gets day names in kanji on top of their day symbol circle thing
Official TParty only 12 years later, took their damn time for something that should've been here long ago.
Not really surprising considering the new(not to new anymore I guess) director at least understands the community usually invents things that improve the game and should be considered for addition to the vanilla experience.
They had Windower in Beta? Or are you implying something that no one knew they wanted 12 years ago should have been in a game that at the time didn't care they had to communicate to perform skillchains =.=? Not that I disagree about it being added... but maybe 8-10 years late would be more accurate.
It's the kanji for Earth (since Earthsday), JP version has had that the whole time. Probably just a dev screenshot from JP client. Also what's the symbol over the day coloured dot?
The gathering node thing is a godsend for those times I do a harvesting quest, god it was annoying to tab around
that's quite an awesome feature, wonder why they don't do it as well for the eng client. Would be godsent for colourblind people, I always have to use the "gametime" option to see the gameday into the chatlog, and then type it again to make the icon reappar, it's annoying.
I'm thinking they got the idea from the community and figured if there version isn't as good as ours or in some way inferior.. we can disable their "TPParty" and use the Windower one.
Think about to when they add windowed mode... yeah I don't think anyone really uses that on PC... since Windower is still superior. Correct me if I'm wrong though...
Huh, they are looking into increasing bag size? I thought they said that was impossible. I love all the little adjustments they are adding, I really wonder why now though lol. I hope the update is next week.
Matsui's statement that item extdata is not preserved through the delivery system is at least partially untrue. You can d-box fish, furniture, etc. all day and they use the extdata system.
Weren't we told increasing bag size was impossible a few years ago? Maybe I'm remembering wrong.
Chairs we can sit on, I can't believe it! Gimme also a bed where I can lie on and I'll be happy.
As for Trusts they better let us get the campaign ones if we missed them! x:
Didn't know that! Thanks Fwahm.
I had a couple of friends who refused using anything even remotely connected to Windower because it was "third party app" and hence "illegal"
I remember a lot of people being that adamant many years ago. I sure hope they're an exintcted race nowadays lol
Why didn't they add this shit like 9 years ago when it could have made a huge impact on ease and aesthetics. These seem like simple changes. How are they doing so much more with so much less, I don't understand. We used to get bimonthly updates that had half the stuff as we get now. These are all simple to do and they probably reverse engineered TParty and hell maybe it will even look better(though it's already pretty perfect the way it is plus it tells us alliance MP)
Yeah, it's one of those "in hindsight" kind of things. You're right, we used to get half the content and adjustments in twice the time. I have no proof of this but I'd guess what's happened in the last few months is FFXI finally got their full dev team back after, how many years working on FFXIV?
I don't use any addons. Pure vanilla PC FFXI. And yes, it is horrible.
No more mercing DM for Seraphicaller and Divinator.
Wonder how congestion will be with Skirmish now? It's not all that common, but even now I occasionally see instances of the "hands of darkness block your path" junk from congestion for Skirmish. Don't any real need to do Yorcia anymore, but that speed option should really help out those runs. Wonder exactly how much faster it'll go now, no mention of a reduction in time required to defend the bivs, just faster respawns and faster progression towards the bivs...
Nice QoL changes. Glad they're slashing all the merit entry costs at once, as opposed to the step by step reductions we've seen thus far
