How's this look foor mnk ws? Asuran goooooo?
How's this look foor mnk ws? Asuran goooooo?
Either we getting lvl 150+ content in july or XIV lost some subs and they want us to go back there; shit people were already trio boxing delve II... Depending how much faster rng get tp, VD dm just got 6 man too now?
On anything that doesn't grossly favor blunt damage or hate control (RNG), BLU's been a candidate for some time now. That said, however, some jobs do have much higher ceilings in terms of what you can do with them with gear should you elect to pump in that much time (I'm mostly referring to SAM).
Wow, I mean, buffs are nice. Really nice, very exciting speaking as a BLU main. But, I am a little concerned about the power jump here. All I really wanted was SE to fix all the useless WS so that we could have more diverse arsenal.
With the news that alpha correction is being removed, I went back and calculated again. I used a very weak target to give Requiescat as much of an advantage as possible; the odds of finding something weaker than this in Adoulin are slim to none. This also assumes 5/5 Requiescat merits. This is also assuming 100% uptime Nat. Meditation, Red Curry Buns, Frightful Roar/Benthic Typhoon, and Dia II. Suffice to say, I gave Requiescat as much of an advantage as I possibly could and it still didn't come far ahead of CDC.
Target stats: 700DEF, 600EVA, 120VIT, 120AGI
OLD -> NEW (Percent change)
Chant du Cygne: 4242 -> 5300 (+25%)
Requiescat: 4864 -> 5323 (+9%)
Difference between new CDC and new Req: 0.4% in conditions favorable to Requiescat.
Did SE say they weren't changing the mods for merit weaponskills?
I don't think they specifically said it, but I would like to think they would have explicitly stated the changes in +WSC per merit level if they were.
Really doubt merit WSs are getting any better than 100% WSC. Would be a shame if they did, because these other WS buffs decrease the reliance on merit WSs quite significantly, which is nice. It gives extra choices to your favorite jobs without dwarfing others.
^ he increased Requiescat damage not because the modifier was change, but because the alpha was dropped.
Yes, I know, but if SE changed the merit WS mods to say, 120% at 5/5, it'd be a significantly different comparison.
We're gonna need a big "Weapon Skills Before>After" comparison thread soon.
Wonder if this will apply to Automaton WS as well, doubt it.
Well, the Alpha part maybe... that part should apply to Automatons. But there won't be specific mod/stat adjustments to Automaton WSs.
Does the alpha thing change have the same effect on all jobs/ws?
the 0.85 is applied to every weaponskill. this affects everything
So, what does the first hit on Exenterator becoming a twofold attack actually mean in practice? Is this just a buff for stuff like SA/Climactic, or something more?
I really hope something big is coming soon... All they did content wise with this patch is make people do WKR more, everything else just got easier. It's already extremely easy lol.
I am confroosed...
"As these adjustments will be boosting the attack capabilities of attacker jobs, we’ll also be adding spells and ninjutsu that will boost enmity for paladin, rune fencer, and ninja. Be sure to check out the party dynamics after the version update!
Paladin Addition of a magic spell with an enmity gain-facilitating effect
Ninja Addition of a ninjutsu with a enmity gain-suppressing effect. Addition of a ninjutsu with a reduced enmity effect"
How I read the Ninja specific part is a reduction/suppression type magic which is the opposite of boosting emnity. Am I takin crazy pills here?
They will prolly get both one to tank and one to be able to full time use innin trait.
The first is then saying they all get hate boosting spells the second part is about separate things they are adding to those jobs. Just saying preventing them from saying the same thing 3 times over and making a separate thing for RUN.
As far as having both gain and suppression probably so nin can tank better or be a better low enmity dd. Very similar to how innin/yonin serve different play styles. Also these would neetly compensate for the downsides to innin/yonin
I see, just figured they would put both emnity gain and suppressing spells in the part they specified what each job was getting.
