can't think of many uses for it myself. Tojil if you bring SAM to that I guess? What else pushes attack low enough that Shoha is actually better than Fudo

Hopefully the drops from the new Mission Battlefields will be good.
A updated X's Knife would be nice.
Honestly, since update, wich merit ws are still the best? Last Stand ? Stardiver ? Realmrazer resolution and that's about it ?
10 merits at 450k xp/hr is less than 15 minutes of solo xping. I will doubtlessly continue to get merits faster than I can find groups to do the new BCs.
Ruinator definitely is though onslaught is rather close now. Close enough where the att boost might be worth it. Which is sad considering ruminator didn't get updated at all not even the general alpha correction. Think SE forgot about axes. I guess Primal rend if you have a mythic and really gear for it isn't bad especially at higher tps.
In terms of pure dmg last stand is pretty beastly now at higher tps... well more so then before. I think apex is pretty awesome now if you aren't capping pdif. Don't think anyone has tested shattersoul to see if it's changed but it probably would still be the best physical staff move even if it didn't get anything
Hope its not another stupid 366 delay z's trident. I wouldnt mind some badass Accessory that enhances spirit/soul jump tp or crit damage+10% for drg in hand slot. New SL will probably drop gs/nocturnus(unless theyre saving those for Shadow Lord[S] phantom gem fight.
I completely forgot that the Shikarees existed, they weren't really an important part of CoP at all.
That's pretty subjective.
They're related to the back story of the Mithra continent, they're part of a mission BC, they appear in several other CoP cut-scenes, they are part of the "group of heroes who challenges the God of twilight" and they have a specific quest/BC right for them with a few additional lines of dialogues.
May not be much, but for that time's standards it was more than your average NPC for sure.
they were more like a set of supporting characters, like Louverance (however Louverance had a lot more of an integral role to play in the story, albeit a flimsy one that could be filled by anyone). the trackers had very little prominence compared to Prishe, Ulmia, and Tenzen.
No one was more useless in CoP than Jabbos though.
Who the hell was Jabbos?
edit:
Oh wait, the Galka who could speak with Moblins lol
I just remember them being assholes and hating them.
We need a 100% new custom BCNM vs the 3 taru siblings, should cost 45 merits and only have VD setting *nods*
Shantoto can come too
You are all just racist towards mithra!
Wonder just how in depth this'll be, and if it'll end up being anything more than just a second floatsam you check once a day in the hopes that you get something not completely worthless.
There definitely was "depth" in the Chocobo Raising System.
But it was also very convoluted, frustrating at times and the opposite of transparent.
Call me selfish but honestly I hope nothing "good" (item/worth wise) will come out of this new system. So that people will be led to do it just because they want to do it and enjoy it, and nobody will feel "forced" to do it because of that chance at those super cool items that they would otherwise be missing out.
That's why every other system ever added to FFXI has failed. There needs to be a carrot on the stick that everyone wants, or you end up with a couple people per server interested in the event. Examples can be drawn from Pankration, Ballista, Chocobo Racing, and Monstrosity. They might be fun/entertaining, but extremely few players will devote any amount of time to the content without some sort of reward to look forward to. And when development time is spent on content that very few people do, most are left wondering why the fuck SE bothers with it. I'd rather see them do something more productive for more people than whatever time they spent developing that content that very few will ever bother with.
I wouldn't expect anything amazing to come from raising a monster. I was kinda hoping it'd be a way to get wool or hides or something but since you only get 1 item it probably won't have anything to do with the monster itself and be like a "gift" item randomly selected from a pool like flotsam, and to some degree the gob daily points.
Either way it looks like it will be ridiculously cute. I wonder what the other 2 initial monsters we get will be.
