Does mug even work in Adoulin? They should adjust it to steal temp items from regular mobs. Mugging a Dusty Wing or Fanatics Drink during a fight could be pretty cool.
Depends, none of the higher skill ones are getting a buff, it'd have to be a fairly potent buff to ensure that you keep up a maneuver to force them. If I understand it correctly, they're all getting buffed to be AROUND Armor Shatterers damage. I can't see it being a massive buff, personally.
And the last time I wanted PUP for anything was before magic mortar was nerfed.
Stealing and Mugging random temp items totally has to happen. That's just such a good idea. To think, Steal and Mug actually having a battle function...maybe someday. (I'm not counting Aura Steal because, really, it should be it's own JA.)
They could make it a small list of temps relevant to the mob type/level. Dusty potions/ethers at low levels, dusty potion III at higher levels, fanatic drinks even powders but would be rare like 5%. I think all jas should be given a function even the level 95 seal abilities for sam drk drg pld. No point in wasting a ja slot for a ja that only works on 5% of mobs people fight these days.
The thing with the seal/circle abilities is that even if they don't work on that many things they're absolutely sick on the things they do. BST would be a regular presence in Delve in a world with a sane buff structure. That said, a buff where circles/seals have maybe like 3-4% effectiveness against all targets might be worthwhile (not stacking with other seals).
EDIT: somebody should try geo, bst/dnc, rdm for a support team in delve to get Killer Instinct in; using debuffs rather than buffs means pets get the full benefit!
Seals should give a debuff like -atk or -eva depending on job and the full thing would proc entirely on the correct mob. Circles could give a boost too like ancient circle could be an aoe acc+10, weak since its 4.5m duration, holy circle could be 10def, arcane 10 atk and sam could be 10 conserve tp.
Just to give these JAs a purpose for the other 98% of the time you're not fighting these creatures:
Ancient Circle: +10 Accuracy
Dragon Breaker: -10% Attack
Warding Circle: +10 Conserve TP
Hamanoha: Enemy TP gain -10%
Holy Circle: +10 Defense
Sepulcher: -10 Accuracy
Arcane Circle: +10 Attack
Arcane Crest: -10 Magic Accuracy
Would give these jobs their own special aoe mantra/warcry/conspirator equivalents. Im happy they repurposed scavenge.
Mug should steal temps
Footwork should increase kick attack rate but decrease counter rate
Weapon Bash should deal the same damage as an autoattack (but never misses) to give it purpose on mobs that are stun immune. Shieldbash doesnt need this change cuz its an enmity tool. Gear with +bash would be +weapon dmg instead of a flat increase.
Basically any JA in which the main property or intended function is only used in a very small and narrow range of situations should be reevaluated. The description for Arcane Circle could be: "increases attack of party members in range. arcana: increases damage dealt and reduces damage taken. Or dragon breaker could read: Reduces target attack. Dragons: reduces acc, attack, magic attack/acc and tp gain. So the primary effect of these JA is useful and the latent/secondary effect is the bonus. Mug would be: Steals gil or items. Basically does a check, if roll fails on gil steal, mug misses; if roll is a success, checks if target has gil, if no gil, a random temp item is added to the thf's inventory. 80% chance at a basic item like potion ether calicothon, 10% at offensive item like lethe water, demoralizer, 10% at hq item, dusty wing, megalixir, fanatic powder, revitilizer.
Spirit surge when used without a wyvern will call the wyvern in an enhanced state, immune to damage to 60 seconds, breath potency is increased and JA breath recasts reduced to 10 seconds and receives 50% haste acc and attack boost.
No Summoner? Guess in another month...
Summoner getting Atomos in September and probably Hastega II and new physical pacts, its on deck just a matter of when.
