If it really means that fluxes will have a random % of being high-tier then 30+ people will probably face-roll the old zones in an attempt to make the hard versions pop. Since they're adding +1 or whatever versions of old gear from WoE the prices on old stuff will tank fast. Free windbuffets for all. Also, inb4 there's no indication the zone is harder and people trying to solo for coins/dice/residue end up getting their face smashed in randomly.

I had pretty low expectations for new WoE to begin with since, well, it's WoE. But this is sounding worse than I could have imagined.

if theres a shark type woe, itll be funny to see those terrible players mpk with/die from its death. pet jobs arent as good as a solid player/group correctly geared and playing together. (dt sets for mob ws's ect) unless youre going for a lazy method, the whole pet job thing is/was for players who cant contribute meaningfully in other ways. even before ilevel (after the update that changed woe from once an in game day) i could 2 box 11 and 13 no problem. i would go in and see groups of bst/smns being fucking owned by mobs running around attacking them, people dying every where, aoe's making me have to cure a lot more often. it makes shit harder lol.

well the thing about WoE is that it was billed as "anyone can participate! just show up!" so there weren't solid groups, and no matter how solid you were individually most of the WHMs that showed up, if any, were pocket/dualboxed WHMs and weren't going to join you or help you.

Even the ones that went in solo still wouldn't help you most the time lol.

if smn's and bst's can just throw shit at it, its not considered hard in the least, because that itself would make it easy as fuck given that a nude bst would be contributing nearly the same amount as a regular one (nude with an ilevel weapon or whatever obv). "solid group" and "difficult" should be in the same sentence when considering strats for content in a case like this. im just hoping for actual difficulty, that would have to have people realize they need to be effcient with other people to win. i mean this could be a cool way to have a large amount of people organize each other towards a goal. does that sound attractive to anyone else?

Sorry, you're never going to find people pitching in and helping each other like some warm and fuzzy volunteer group. Players are selfish assholes and most of them are too stupid or stubborn to follow simple commands like "don't bring the NM to the mages." The fact that mobs have party hate means that teaming up is actually a bad idea since you'll never recover from a wipe. Since SE didn't learn their lesson from the first iteration of WoE, so it's just going to be more of the same. 90% of people going smn and throwing garuda at things and the other going melee and dying due to no support. Throw in some WHMs that won't cure you because they're too lazy to look for anyone missing HP for added flavor. Competent groups can't control who enters a run and royally effs things up so there's really no point in trying.

Not really. Getting full pet haste gear is easy now. And chances are it will still aoe enough where with no pet dt or reward gear your pet will die with call beast down. And while not gear I wouldn't expect an ungeared bst to have jp which is some more haste and acc. I'd wager a bst that is decently geared, merited and jpd would probably do roughly double what a just ilvl axe one would do. The difference between my main and my mules even with the same ilvl is pretty large and my main isn't full decked out and my mules do have some gear. And that's just in terms of pure dps against targets that don't fight back not counting survivability

Dude at level cap(90?) the Naraka one was hard. I remember people having to SMN burn it because his Raksha Illusion or whatever would do like 2-3k and he spammed it along with other shit, was virtually unmeleeable because his autoattacks hit you for 700+ and his Illusion/Damnation crap was insta kill from high damage. Make no mistake, people will pet burn any kind of fight with incredibly high damage aoe, which WoE generally is. It's a ranged/pet zerg. All of those megaboss chambers were when they came out because hate was everywhere, boss was always moving around, lag and aoes rocked everyone. I never saw melees on the amphitere, naraka, hydra or even anguis, just smns rngs blms and random mages trying to spam shit to get a good evaluation.

at 99 it was very easy. never mind that even at 90 you could go in there at jp time and there would be like 7-10 jp's with a standard tanked dd setup destroying them. the reason the boss was moving around is because of the pet created situation, whether it be from the pets themselves or jobs contributing to it themselves. if that wasnt the case you would have seen melee's and tanks there more often. thats the only reason you didnt see them. from the day woe was changed from once a game day i was alone in woe for about a week(my whm mule and me on borealis drk), and i made a good 70-100m in that week before i got burned out and couldnt stand the zone anymore lol. i went back a few weeks later and it was back to the same smn wipe fest.

So appearently the new NIN job trait thing that shoots shurikens will rely on throwing skill, but they're planning to add some secondary bonus (based on what? Main weapon ilevel?
I'm glad they are finally giving Throwing a real purpose, but at the same time this kinda scares me.
The goal is clearly to keep all of your forms of attack at the same accuracy level so that you can be 95% hit rate no matter if you hit with main hand, offhand or with the shuriken proc.
Achieving Main/Off already creates some issues if you're offhanding taikogane, adding a further third variable that you need to balance out (throwing) might make gearing even more complicated, changing TP gearing paradigms or just ignoring it at all, which would result in the new job trait being completely useless on relevant content.

Don't know what to say, I get mixed feelings atm.

Eh, it doesn't look as bad as it could have been. At least it'll be an increasing chance of changing to hard mode. It might suck if getting an Endowed walk will reset the chance for a Surge walk though.

I didn't like WoE the first time, nor the second or third. I somehow doubt I'll enjoy the fourth. My hopes are more about Incursion, hopefully a fun event.

This is clearly their smart attempt to water down content and make it last longer, forcing people to do hours of useless, boring and pointless farming of the old ones, to proc the new ones.
There is at least a pro in this system though, the flow of coins/dices/residues will increase and prices will drop. If someone is after a certain WS (I know I still need a couple of secondary ones I never bothered to get) it might be nice to get them.

So what exactely is an Endowed Walk? I didn't get that. It's a special Surge Walk where you get better drops and a plethora of temporary Items?

I'm still unsure what they're gonna do with the items though.
I mean, for Head/Body/Hands/Legs/Feet slots it's easy to release updated version, you just turn them into ilevel and add the statvomit.
But for the accessory slots? There is no ilevel item in those slots, and as a matter of fact the new items we got post SoA are mostly sidegrades or small upgrades, with a couple of exceptions maybe.
Sooo... how are they going to release better version of a Flume Belt or Prosilio Belt for instance?
I can see Nomkapah Mittens, but accessories? I'm really confused.

I kinda agree, but towards the end it was kinda fun, at least for pet jobs.
The most annoying part remained the wait for certain fluxes or the perma zoning out/in to get medallions (which I think they plan on removing on future updates?)
After that the only remaining annoyance would be the fact it's not particularly comfortable to get there.
I mean Home Points Crystal made it a bit better, but adding an HP inside WoE would make it just perfect imho.

At that point it might be nice even for a very fast run every now and then when you're feeling bored.

accessoires can be quiet good, when delve 1 was released the accessoires of it were quiet awesome, same with +1 avatar rings we got lately. there is still much potential there, they could add haste and aaccuracy to windbuffet belt, demolish the -DA on prosilio belt and add acc. the potential is there for stuff to be quiet awesome.

If they were to release ilevel accessories I would be all exalted, wet and horny atm.
But given the approach they been having with accessories since after SoA release (barely better than previous options, mostly sidegrades, some notable exceptions like JSE capes and new rings, but even then the difference is really small and nowhere close to the difference between pre SoA gear and 119 gear) I'm a bit, I dunno, skeptic? Confused?

Of course they can't make them worse so anything will be nice.
I'm just scared that there won't be upgraded version of accessories but just "different" versions with different stats

I thought about that a lot, would kinda make sense but Reforged Empy appearently not making it into the september update either.

I'm kinda scared they're gonna make Reforged Empy be higher ilevel and not use Rem Tales either =/
