I hope it doesn't use the current Rem Tales; cause being capped on stuff before the content is even released is awfull I hope they don't make the same mistake as relic reforge![]()

I was trying to imagine the worst possible way to implement neo-WoE yesterday. I eventually decided that the worst possible case would be for them to implement walks where you don't actually know if they're going to be iLevel or normal until after you enter, causing people to either:
1) Not do WoE at all because it's too much of a PITA to actually get the rewards they care about
2) Exit and Enter all the walks until one of them procs a good battlefield (putting all of them on cooldown almost all the time).
I figured this would be the most annoying way to possibly implement the content. I'm glad SE seems to agree.
Is anyone sitting on literally thousands of rem chapters that they could cap all 22 jobs the day of the update? Besides it's not like chapters are the only part of upgrading AF/relic whatever new or old crafting material they use will sky rocket in price. I have a feeling it will be released when they up the ilevel cap as well. They pretty much just need to add stat vomit for AF3 to replace almost all AF/Relic reforge outside of the macro pieces people already used.
I have enough REM6-10s to cap out all the jobs I care about (assuming 8 each). I would have to go solo BCs for a while for 1-5.
The random spawn sounds just terrible.

Looks like you'll be able to check if the iLvl version is up? Unless I'm reading it wrong.
Yes I'm sitting on over a stack of 6 7 8 9 10 I don't play all 22 job, for the 1 2 3 4 5 I have about 30-40 unused from helping ls members/friends that came back to the game so yeah :/ they should push for doing new content for new gear, not the same high tier battlefield+gil if they make us require old rem, I sure hope they add a new rare/ex from incursion or w/e event they add when they release that content.
Is Tanaka back?
... actually no.. every entrance woulda cost 100k gil.
I suppose we have to see how powerful the new gear is. It is certainly a way to get people to do older Walks once again and could help flood the market with some of the more rare WoE items.
I'm all for gating system for event, but this WoE thing seems very bad on paper.
Yeah beat up complete trash as quickly as possible to spawn the high ones and hope while you are clearing trash that someone else didn't pop and enter the high one before you can get in... sounds delightful
Some people totally would. A minority I'm betting, but not a negligible one.
I have around 30-40 of each Tale 6-10 myself, and didn't even try to farm them.
I would kinda need 1-5 but have plenty of seals for those.
But Tales aren't the only necessary things, if they put more very expensive materials or R/E stuff that would still lock in spite of you having the tales.
Alas, yes. I didn't really wanted that to happen before another expansion but it seems unavoidable now =/I have a feeling it will be released when they up the ilevel cap as well.
Presuming that each clear increases it by 5% (judging by 0/5/15% listed), it'll take 15 clears to get a 75% chance of ilvl WoE for one chamber. I havent been in WoE for a while, but I believe each chamber has a 15 minute lockout post-clear. Lets presume that it'll take 5 minutes to breeze through a chamber (includes zoning time and running around finding mobs). 20 minutes per clear, 15 clears, 5 hours just to have a 75% chance at your chamber being ilvl version.
In the picture SE showed, two of the three fluxes are already in Surge mode as notified by the star symbols, and all three are in Endowed mode. The percentages are the chances of them being Surge/Endowed again after you clear them that time, so they don't start off at 0% after you clear the Surge mode.
Theoretically the ilvl would pop before you got to the 75% chance. Just playing the odds, but going from 5% > 10% > 15% > 20% > 25% > 30% should, on average, pop an ilvl WoE. So on average you get into an ilvl WoE every ~2hours. Seems like a decent gating for an event, will be interesting to see it in action.
